I went here for lunch for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. The foodie bento box was a deal even though it’s $27. It had so much food! Everything was really good. I definitely want to visit again and try more of the sushi based items.

Worst fake sushi restaurant I’ve been to in my life. Lives in Japan for 15 years, so I surly know what REAL Japanese cuisine is. This was utter garbage not to mention the terrible and disgusting service. Stay away! Many far better choices of REAL JAPANESE CUISINE in McLean.
I always haves ordered the Spicy Rolls Combo. The best spicy rolls I have tasted in any Japanese restaurants.

Visiting DC as a surprise for my wife's birthday. Staying at an Airbn in McLean and this gem was in easy walking distance. If you get a chance, you have.to come here. Food is excellent, staff is friendly, and just can't say enough about how happy my wife was here. If you are in the area, definitely swing by.

Sushi Umi Tysons is conveniently located just off the McLean Metro station, making it an easy spot to visit. We were fortunate to find the last available street parking.
While we initially intended to order the Belly Trio and Soft Shell Crab Tempura, a slight mix-up with our order led us to try the Belly Deluxe instead. The Toro in the Belly Deluxe was exceptional—fresh and flavorful, a real standout.
The Soft Shell Crab Tempura was crispy, though it was a bit heavy on the flour. For sushi rolls, we had the Umi Roll and the Yummy Umi Roll. The Yummy Umi Roll was unique with its cream cheese, though it felt a bit rich for my taste.
Overall, Sushi Umi Tysons offers a delightful dining experience with high-quality ingredients and a variety of interesting dishes. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

If you are a fan or have started to get interested in Japanese cuisine you definitely need to come here! Start your selection with Taste of Umi- you will have the opportunity to taste and experience high quality fatty tuna, salmon and of course Japanese w5 beef, sea urchin and more, also don't forget the Japanese alcoholic drink sake. I was blown away by the Set of different flavors of sake, my favorite is the Dassai Set! Next you have to try the specialty rolls, there is so much choice for all tastes, you can't wait to try them. My favourites is Ocean Breeze and Pink Lady. I would also like to mention the service, the waiters are very friendly and nice. Always greeted with a smile and try to help and explain everything. I recommend it! Visit once and you will and will definitely love it, I speak from experience! Now be sure to include a visit to this beautiful place in my weekly schedule!
