There was a woman with her chest fully exposed, which was a bit awkward since I had my child with me. Other than that, the omakase wasn’t bad and most of the staff were friendly.

Wren in Tysons was a solid move. The hamachi crudo was clean and fresh, the karaage chicken was crispy with good seasoning, and the wagyu skewers were the highlight. Cocktails were well-made, not too sweet. Service was chill and the space has that modern Japanese lounge vibe. Easy spot to grab good food and unwind. I’d come back.

One of the best experiences I have had, and I'm a food blogger came because my friends and I wanted to try somewhere new and they love my recommendations. Loved our experience with Ali! Can't wait to go back the food the drinks the menu superb to compliment the service.
I stopped by the Wren with family and noticed a couple of things that were off about this place. Management acts like they would rather be anywhere but at the restaurant. The food is ok but the service truly sucks. (Management needs improvement)

Everything tasted good. The entrée portion was a bit small. I'd definitely make a reservation at peak times and weekends. The one time I went without one, they were full and there's limited seating even at the bar.
Service was good. Food was tasty. Portions appropriate for fine dining. It was about right. Tried multiple dishes. Ambiance nice.
Excellent per usual - we usually just order a la carte but this was our first time doing the chef's tasting menu - it did not disappoint! Incredible value and absolutely delicious!
Horrible service. We were sat at the bar due to overbookings. The bartender took his time getting to our order and acted like he would rather be anywhere else than helping us. We asked to place a food order with our drinks and he said “give me a moment”. We repeatedly tried to get his attention and there was nothing, but he definitely had time to take the orders for both couples on either side of us. Nearly 30 minutes later he still did not come back so my wife finally let him know we were no longer interested in waiting any longer and to close our tab. Having worked in food service, we understand how rough a Saturday night at a bar can be, but the bar wasn’t event at 75% capacity and there were three bartenders for about 20 seats and the restaurant had numerous tables open. No excuse.

Time to be acknowledged at table and give drink order was way too long. Food was a good value but drinks were ridiculously priced. With so many options in the area I won't go again.

Wren is plopped in an 11th-story hotel lobby. Think opposite of cozy. And the hotel is plopped in a shiny-new, pedestrian-hostile development surrounded by a moate of wide, high-speed roads. The food was nice and we enjoyed our time, but not going back.

A restaurant plunked in the middle of a (11th floor) hotel lobby? What is the opposite of "cozy?" The food and service were good, but not worth the trip. The hotel is in a glitzy new Tysons development inside a moat of wide, high-speed roads, and the parking garage design is the worst.
Short rib appetizer was great, so was toro and other sushi. Our server was very attentive and knew her stuff. The one disappointment is the wine list, both by the glass and bottles. It would have been nice to have a good Chablis or Chianti. Also, so many people were dressed in sneakers and sweatshirts, it messes with the atmosphere. A dress code to keep this place looking nice, would go a long way.
Overall, food was great. Would have loved for some of the food to have a tad bit more seasoning (like the fried rice) BUT it was flavorful.
Great ambience/atmosphere and service was great as well.
Will absolutely go back.

Our last experience was what I hope was just an anomaly- we usually have great meals and service at Wren, but made the mistake of going on a Friday (usually we're there midweek) and parking was a mess (I think there was an event at Capital one). We were seated at a high top in the bar area, which is usually fine, but mid way through our meal a large after-party from a rehearsal dinner mobbed the bar, bumping our table repeatedly, crowding us, loud conversations, etc. - it's a round bar and staff should have moved the revelers away from the diners. The food was fine but at that point we just wanted to eat quickly and leave - we didn't even stay for dessert for the birthday we were celebrating. An overall disappointing experience. Again I'm hoping this was a one-off as Wren has been reliably good previously.
