My family and I visited Alborz Restaurant in Tysons hoping for a flavorful Persian dining experience, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. The food was surprisingly bland and lacked the bold flavors we were anticipating. Even the falooda dessert, which we were excited to try, seemed stale and disappointing.
While the service was technically fine, it felt tense at times—especially since we had a few kids with us who got a little loud. The staff kept giving us looks, making it clear this is not a very child-friendly restaurant.
Overall, the experience was underwhelming and not very welcoming, and we definitely won’t be returning. For anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Persian cuisine in the area, there are much better options that deliver on taste and a more family-friendly atmosphere.

Went today for lunch, was impressed. Inside is very nice, but a little spartan. Food was excellent, just got chicken kebobs and rice, but was very good. Price was reasonable as well. Service was good and liked getting my free pita which they brought a 2nd. Probably will go back depending on how much longer I am in town.

Always a good experience here, amazing servers and staff, love the new decor. The food, especially the ice cream is great. The only thing is that it can get very noisy here due to the fact that all the utensils, etc are handled in the bar area which is in the dining area. That's the only small constructive feedback I'd give, is to please try to address this and please give customers who order half rice and half salad a grilled tomato. That should just be standard when ordering kabob. Also saw that they now serve wine- I know this will be a big plus for those who drink and are celebrating occasions, etc.

$38 Dollars gets you this. Very disappointed with the food and presentation. The quality has gone down while the prices went up. A quarter tomato not even half a tomato. Dry meat, very disappointing,

One of the go to Persian restaurants in No. Va. Good food, service and consistent. Not necessarily my favorite one but a solid, safe choice.

Alborz in Vienna has been a part of my life since childhood, and to this day, they remain one of the most consistently delicious Persian restaurants in the area. I literally grew up eating their kabob, and it is still the best—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and always cooked just right.
Their prices are very reasonable (the Sultany is easily 2 meals), and the service has always been warm, accommodating, and genuinely caring. They’re the kind of place that remembers their regulars and makes you feel at home every time you walk in.
If you want authentic, flavorful Persian food made with consistency and pride, Alborz is truly a staple.

I love the Soltani and Kobideh, Mast Mosir here. But Chenjed was so hard to chew. Also a very small pot of tea was $16 and they claimed that is for 5 person. We ordered Bamiye that came in tiny size and paid $7.99 for 10 small pieces. Also, no kids portion. The food portion was less compared to last month.

I order from this place alot and the food is always delicious and authentic tasting,I’m from Rasht originally and it’s very important to me that the food is savory like it’s supposed to and it is!

I had my lunch here on 11/2/2025 for the second time. I liked the food, but when I ordered one piece of chilly paper, I was charged 2 dollars for that which looks unfair.

Ambiance, quantity, pricing and juiciness of the kabobs is top-notch.
Most authentic persian food in DMV area. Their kabobs, lamb shanks and ice cream are awesome.

Had a fantastic experience at Alborz Restaurant! They went above and beyond to accommodate my son's food allergy, which gave us real peace of mind. Huge shoutout to Emmerson for being so attentive and making sure everything was safe and enjoyable for him. Truly appreciated the care and service – we’ll definitely be back!
