We've been here a few times for lunch and the food quality has been very consistent. There is a buffet lunch but we always pick from the menu. The food is always very tasty. The service however we find to be quite slow.

We stopped by the restaurant last night without a reservation to try a few dishes we’re considering for our upcoming wedding event. We’ve already booked Bombay Tandoor for our catering but were deciding between a few menu items, so we wanted to taste them before making our final decision. To our surprise, the tasting was offered complimentary, such a generous gesture that we truly didn’t expect. The staff made us feel so welcomed, and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. My husband and I are so happy we chose Bombay Tandoor to cater our special day!

Used to go regularly ten years ago. Recently went back (Sept 2025). Did not disappoint! Back in the day the prices were higher than other places but the atmosphere was nicer. Nowadays you can expect to pay $20 for lunch at dumpy places. So the value has gone up! The service was great! Good was delicious!

Really bad bland and least curated food. This used to be a great place to have an Indian buffet and have had dine here so many times. Really disappointed with recent food quality and the taste and the indoor ambience. Not worth dining. Not sure if the management changed here recently but overall experience was totally sad.

I have no argument with large parties being subject to a mandatory service charge (20%) and usually tip 20% anyway, but since when does 4 people constitute a large party?

It was a very disappointing visit. Food was very very average and felt menu was limited. The staff were very nice and kept checking on us.

Bombay Tandoor is one of the great Indian restaurants in the DMV area. I've been a regular customer for years! What sets them apart is their consistency – every visit is as delightful as the first. Whether it’s a quick lunch, a family gathering, or a celebratory dinner, they never disappoint.

The authentic flavors of their dishes are unmatched. Classics like their butter chicken, biryani, and tandoori items are always perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. At the same time, they continuously impress with new and innovative dishes that add a fresh twist to traditional Indian cuisine. It’s the perfect blend of authenticity and creativity.

The service is always warm, welcoming, and attentive. The staff makes you feel like family and ensures you have everything you need to enjoy your meal. They are knowledgeable about the menu and always happy to make recommendations based on your preferences.

The ambiance is elegant yet cozy, making it a great spot for everything from casual dinners to special occasions. The décor reflects Indian culture beautifully, and the atmosphere is always inviting.

What I love most about Bombay Tandoor is that they’ve maintained their quality and standards over the years. It’s rare to find a restaurant that stays so consistent while also evolving with new and exciting dishes. If you’re craving authentic Indian cuisine with a modern touch, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Venue for a Family Gathering

We recently hosted a family event for around 60 guests, including 10 children, and had a fantastic experience. The space is ideal for a medium-sized gathering—private and comfortable, despite being part of the main restaurant. It offered just the right balance of seclusion and accessibility.

The buffet featured a wide variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. The restaurant was very accommodating to guests who preferred less spicy options and promptly provided alternatives. The staff was exceptionally courteous, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening.

We were even able to include brief presentations with music, without causing any disruption. Overall, it was a perfect setting for our celebration. Highly recommend for the quality of food, inviting ambiance, and outstanding service.

I had to change my rating from 4 to 5 after I tried their buffet. Thanks to Laxman who encouraged us to tried. Delicious food. Chiken biryani and butter chicken are the best. Definitely will be back and soon enshallah.

We visited the restaurant for lunch. It was very busy and we felt the service was very slow. There is a buffet lunch but we opted to do à la carte. The spice level for the vindaloo we had was very good. The naan bread was nice and light and not too stodgy.
