Loved our experience at Carnegie for lunch yesterday. The food was perfect, an American size portion and perfectly served. Jason, our waiter was able to put together the PERFECT cocktail for a ladies lunch. It is clean, with a varied menu and fun atmosphere.
We had lunch here with our family and small kids. Everyone was so friendly and caring and the food was great and amazing service. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious and the portion sizes are huge! Our server, Allan was great and very thoughtful and thorough.
Great experience and service from wait staff once we were seated. We had a 10:30 reservation on a Sunday morning. Thought we had beat the rush as the restaurant got very busy around 11:00 am. Seemed like a lot of people had reservations so we did not get seated until 10:47. Oh well it happens. Everything else was great front staff to running/ server staff. Thanks!
Food and service were great but with a full house this diner was far too loud for one- on- one conversation. Not rushing back for sure.
the scrambled eggs were mad3 like rubber The bacon had to be sent back because it was hardly cooked. and it came back just the same.9
I tend to be an easy grader. That is why this is difficult. It was our first visit to Carnegie and we were very much looking forward to going. Unfortunately, of the five things we ordered, four were brought to us incorrectly. One of our appetizer salads and one of our entree salads were prepared with a different dressing than we had asked for. One of our entree sides was incorrect and critical because of an allergy. And finally, when management told us they would provide a complementary dessert because of the problems we had encountered, the wrong dessert was brought to us. The only reason I could possibly recommend this place and the only reason we have decided we would ever go back, is the spinach pie. It was delicious.
We always have a great time at Carnegie Diner & Cafe. Nice, clean environment, great food, amazing service.
The sandwich is not like what i had in New York at all. Small portion, high price, bread is low quality, only finger length half of half pickle. The Pastrami was very salty and not fresh. Out waiter is fine but always busy, multiple others are first day on job, and no smile.
We had high hope for this diner, but the food lacked flavor, the kids cx tenders were too dry to cut, the cheeseburger lacked flavor but had plenty of grease. The service was poor, yet there were lots of staff standing around. The bathroom was filthy. We hoped the chocolate cake would have been the saving grace, but it tasted like cheap coco that was sitting in a fridge for a week gathering flavors from other foods.

The food was excellent and the service was prompt. Unfortunately, it was so loud I could not talk to the people across from me at the table.
My friends and I have eaten at this Carnegie Diner before. Access is really great for those with mobility issues. Portions are large - never room for desserts, even a cupcake! All of the servers are very attentive. Highly recommend a reservation if you go at noon as can be very busy.
Everything was great, except as I was entering the front door, my foot slipped off the wheelchair ramp next to the sidewalk and I fell. There is no guard rail, and both the ramp and the sidewalk are made of the same concrete material so they definitely blend into one another. The manager said she was working on having a railing installed to go up the ramp and I suggested a yellow painted line differentiating it from the sidewalk. Just be careful.
Waiter was not attentive but another waitress was awesome to help out. Food was ok, portions huge as always. Chicken was over cooked. Will try again
Long wait though we had reservations. Slow service. Very noisy. We were there for Sunday brunch so maybe another time it would've been better.
