All the food came in a box. I expected more from Wolf Trap. The food was quite delicious, I could only order for a party of two or more. I was happily a party of one , but this was incompatible with Wolf Trap's approach to ordering.

Only available option for food at Wolf Trap. No places to sit. Condiments weren’t out at the time the food was ready. Very expensive for quality of food.

Obviously, you wouldn't eat here unless you were going to a concert at the Filene Center. Nevertheless, the food is better than average and the ambiance and convenience can't be beat. Your only real option is the buffet, which is standard barbecue fare. I enjoyed the pulled pork, but found the brisket a bit dry. Being a buffet, both entrees were luke warm rather than hot, but if they were hot, they'd probably both have been dry. The price is a bit stiff for what you get, but you're paying for the convenience of having a short walk to the Filene Center after dinner. The servers all appear to be young college students. Being a buffet, they don't have much serving to do. My wife and I ordered a glass of wine each, and it was brought promptly. Empty plates were cleared promptly, too. And the check, which is electronic, appears quickly when you ask for it. An enjoyable meal, but nothing fantastic.

Buffet with all the traditional picnic treats -potato salad, Cole slaw, fried chicken, barbeque and then other fish and chicken choices and plenty of veggies.. delicious desserts and a view of the meadows

We had reservations for 2. A bit confused on arrival. First, one needs a special yellow piece of paper from security to enter Ovations/ F Pig area. Then we see a 12 person deep line for a service window that says “Fermented Pig” okay so do we order here with a reservation? We wanted in line for 10 minutes before spotting a hostess stand under a tent area. Better signage needed here to point out where to go. Buffet gets a grade of “B” by me. Cost is $45. Fish offerings just okay. Mac and Cheese was excellent, but didn't like the serving spoons all caked up with previous users scooping it up, some comes off on your plate and now you got cold Mac and cheese with hot. Pork/beef was good. Salad offerings good, local ingredients in some cases. Vanilla ice cream (cups) ran out in one of two self serve freezers. Raspberry sorbet was the other choice. Staff top notch! Polite and plenty of them. Can't beat proximity of Ovations to venue, just steps away. Elevators available. Plenty of shade under a giant tent/canopy. Wolftrap is a gem! ?

Wolf Trap is a beautiful venue and the Fermented Pig restaurant has a fully sourced buffet, well worth the price of $44 per person. The waitress was delightful and helpful with suggestions. The food was hot or cold as would have been expected depending upon the edible. This was my third time there over the last couple of years and I will definitely go again next month.

It was a beautiful setting and so convenient to eat here. Went at 5p and had a leisurely buffet dinner and drinks very reasonable for all the great food. Saw John legend and walked around and then to seats around 730 for show at 8p. Restaurant is open air Looking over an expanse of lawn with covered huge patio. Will always do this if going to wolf trap

Worst mojito I have ever had. Could not detect lime , rum and despite two dried mint leaves , mint! Very artificial taste. Left it and ordered a white wine. Food was average. Salmon was delicious. Salad ingredients were fresh . Overall, not worth the price but definitely worth the convenience.

It's ok but for a hot buffet the food wasn't hot and had been sitting awhile so dried out. Kind of expensive for what you get but you're paying for the convenience and location.

This was my 1st visit to The Fermented Pig at Ovations and it will not be my last! The view was beautiful and serene. The food was buffet style and delicious. The servers were professional and nice. I had a wonderful time and I almost didn't want to leave but the show was starting, so I had to go to my seat. Overall it was a wonderful evening with great food, great service, and an absolutely awesome concert (John Legend).

We traveled over 3 hours to attend the concert and arrived earlier than our reservation. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. They fit us in and allowed us to move our reservation up. This was a birthday gift for my 81 year old mother, who has difficulty walking. When leaving the restaurant, we had to walk slightly up hill to get to the check in gate and they offered to have someone take her in a golf cart. The food was delicious, the staff was gracious, and everyone was very accommodating to my mothers needs. This was our first time visiting and we will absolutely be back!

I invited three friends. Please let Chef Josh know that the pulled pork was dried unless you added the sauce to it; the fried chicken was very salty, the fries and the macaroni and cheese. I ordered a glass of prosecco and a bottle of rose, but neither of them was adequately chilled.Very disappointed

Reception was quick and easy, we were immediately seated at a table with a great view. The waitress arrived quickly and took our drink order and returned quickly with the ordered beverages. The buffet had a great number of options. The manager stopped by to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.

The buffet served at Ovations was outstanding in variety, presentation, and deliciousness. The outdoor atmosphere with a beautiful view of the meadow at Wolf Trap and other areas was great. Having dinner before the concert at Ovations made our evening outstanding.

Good food, great location but the service is lacking. Slow to get water, drinks, and bread. Couldn't find the waiter when we where through and had to ask someone to find him for us.
