We enjoyed the quiet corner seating.

My first time coming in the establishment, no one greeted myself or the gentleman I walked in the door with. No one was professional and the staff appeared to look fatigue as if they were under the influence. Businesses need to do better with customer service etiquette. I would not recommend this establishment and will not be returning.

One of the better coffee shops, if a little on the expensive side.

Great spot in Tysons. Baristas are always pleasant and even offered a free refill when I was there longer for a business meeting. Peet's coffee is the best!

Peet’s Coffee – Vienna, VA (Across from Olive Garden)

Peet’s Coffee in Vienna has been my go-to coffee spot since 2018, and it never disappoints! Located right at the heart of Vienna, directly across from Olive Garden, this place has a warm, inviting vibe that makes it perfect for a quick coffee run or a relaxed sit-down.

The staff here is always friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. The coffee options are top-notch, with a wide range of both seasonal and classic drinks. One of my absolute favorites is the Orange Coffee Mocha – it’s a seasonal item that I look forward to every year. The flavor is so unique and refreshing, it’s unlike anything I’ve tried elsewhere – definitely a must-try if you spot it on the menu!

What I also love is their selection of merchandise – from mugs to beans to brewing equipment – they have it all, and everything is high quality. The shop is well-maintained, clean, and has a calm, cozy atmosphere, which makes it a great place to read, work, or catch up with friends.

Even when I’m not in Vienna, if I’m nearby in McLean or Tysons, I make it a point to swing by. This place feels like a part of my routine and holds a nostalgic charm. If you’re in the area and enjoy great coffee with great vibes, Peet’s Coffee Vienna is a hidden gem you shouldn't miss.

Racist and Unprofessional Behavior I had an extremely upsetting experience at this Peet’s Coffee location that I believe involved racist and discriminatory behavior from someone who claimed to be the manager. I came in to get a coffee and sandwich to-go. While waiting, I politely asked an employee for the restroom code and used the bathroom briefly. When I came out and sat down for a minute, I noticed a white male customer had picked up my coffee by mistake and returned it to the counter. What happened next was shocking. Instead of handling the mix-up calmly, the employee — who said he was the manager (a man wearing a black shirt and speaking with an accent) — rudely confronted me and asked, ā€œWhat are you waiting for?ā€ in an aggressive tone. When I told him my name and explained that I was waiting for my order, he blamed me for not picking it up fast enough and said he now had to remake it ā€œbecause of me.ā€ He made no effort to hold the other customer accountable and instead projected his frustration onto me. I asked why he was angry, and he just kept getting more hostile and dismissive. Another employee had clearly seen me go into the restroom, yet he acted like I was the problem. I was the only Asian person in the store, and it felt very clear that I was being treated unfairly and disrespectfully because of how I look — a small Asian woman. It felt like he assumed he could talk down to me or intimidate me because he saw me as weak or not worth basic respect. That is unacceptable. This wasn’t just rude service, it felt discriminatory. I’ve already reported this to corporate, and I hope they take it seriously. No customer should ever be made to feel humiliated or disrespected for simply picking up an order. Peet’s Coffee should do better. This kind of person should not be a manager, and I truly hope Peet’s corporate takes action. If nothing is done, I will keep speaking up. Customers deserve to feel safe and respected not humiliated and targeted.

Racist and Unprofessional Behavior

I had an extremely upsetting experience at this Peet’s Coffee location that I believe involved racist and discriminatory behavior from someone who claimed to be the manager.

I came in to get a coffee and sandwich to-go. While waiting, I politely asked an employee for the restroom code and used the bathroom briefly. When I came out and sat down for about a minute, I noticed a white male customer had picked up my coffee by mistake and returned it to the counter.

Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee — who said he was the manager (a man wearing a black shirt and speaking with an accent) — rudely confronted me and asked, ā€œWhat are you waiting for?ā€ in an aggressive tone. When I gave my name and tried to explain, he blamed me for not picking up my order fast enough and said he had to remake it ā€œbecause of me.ā€

Here’s the issue: Peet’s policy is that mobile and to-go orders can sit on the counter for up to 10 minutes. I was in the store for about 10 minutes total, including a short restroom break — so his anger made no sense. I followed the policy. It was another customer who picked up the wrong drink, yet this employee took his frustration out on me.

When I asked why he was angry, he became even more hostile. Another employee clearly saw me go to the restroom, yet the so-called manager acted like I had done something wrong. He never apologized and made me feel completely unwelcome.

I was the only Asian person in the store, and it was hard not to feel like I was being targeted and spoken to that way because I’m a small Asian woman. His energy was dismissive and intimidating, like he assumed I wouldn’t stand up for myself. It felt racist and personal.

This wasn’t just rude service it was discriminatory, humiliating, and unacceptable. I’ve contacted corporate, and I hope they take this seriously. No customer should be treated this way, especially when following the store’s own policies. Peet’s needs to do better.

This kind of person should not be a manager, and I truly hope Peet’s corporate takes action. If nothing is done, I will keep speaking up. Customers deserve to feel safe and respected not humiliated and targeted.
