Amazing food, we love the location at Vienna. We have been in the real Plaka, Athens before and it is so nice that this restaurant is bringing the taste of Plaka food to the state
Stopped on our way to Jersey, and glad we did! Absolutely delicious! We got the platter to start and every dip you could tell was homemade. We also got the bowls with chicken and gyro meat and it was delicious. The rice was perfectly seasoned and the tzatziki was amazing as well.
Second time I ordered gyros to go and they forgot the sauce. Had to eat dry ass gyros horrible.
Ive been here about 50 times I’ve never had an order with a mistake meat comes out juicy and tender and the service is 10 star, if you haven’t visited plaka in Vienna get there asap I can eat there food 7 days a week it’s that good!!!
The falafel wrap plaka style was 10/10 - amazing!
Since you insisted that the public has to record you for evidence, here’s a video I recorded from November 2020. One of your male employees called the police on me and FALSELY ACCUSED me of putting that whole couch behind your bushes. We took it once the police determined it was nobody’s and a false report. Again, I think anyone like myself who wants to protect themselves legally should record around this area. You’re going to have people who know, or forgot, how you were treated.

First of all, the staff is 100% Hispanic, not Greek. No authenticity there. Second, they have people living in that truck parked in their back driveway, but they hated us for parking too close to them in the Dollar Tree parking lot. Why so territorial? It’s sketchy as hell. They even lied to the police just to cause drama over us, wasting taxes for no reason! I wouldn’t trust immoral people with handling my food!

Friendly people! Food came out super quick and tasted very good. Fries are great. Chicago Gyro was great. Quiet atmosphere. You can tell how hard everyone works behind the counter.

Well I would have put a picture of the food but it was so good I couldn’t stop after my first bite. Phenomenal food, I’m glad I live a couple states over or I’d be here everyday. Must try if you enjoy Greek or Mediterranean food.

Meeting with my Greek contractor, James Kifonidis, at Image Kitchen & Bath, on the other side of Hunter Mill Road from SouvlakiBar, I mentioned how disappointed I am with them, describing my one and only visit. He recommended Plaka in Vienna. Following our meeting, I went there for lunch.
In contrast, Plaka is five star! Chicago Gyro immediately caught my eye on the menu, so I ordered it along with Humus, Spanakopita, and a Mythos Beer. Growing up in the seventies and having many dining experiences at the truly legendary landmark Greektown restaurant, The Parthenon, on Halstead Street in Chicago, I can verify that Plaka indeed is serving Chicago-style gyro.
Chicago-style gyros are characterized by a balance of savory, garlicky, and herby flavors, with a mix of textures from the thinly shaved, crispy outside of the vertically rotisserie-grilled lamb and beef mix, and a tender inside. Creamy tzatziki sauce—a yogurt-based sauce with cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, and dill—adds a cool, tangy, and creamy contrast to the savory, spiced meat. Fresh vegetables like tomatoes and onions, served wrapped in warm pita bread, complete the dish.
The two appetizer triangle-shaped spanakopita were flavor-balanced, featuring all fresh ingredients—spinach, the foundation ingredient, and feta—wrapped in thin flaky layers of phyllo brushed with olive oil.
The small, unassuming spot, seating only 24 guests, serves high-quality Greek fare made with care and pride, in my opinion and experience. I arrived at 2:30 PM last Thursday, and lucky for me, there was one seat available.

The little things that matter. Food is tasty and good. Visited today for take out and it was raining a bit, I waited in the car and when my order was ready I was on my way into the shop and before I could get to the door, they did a curbside delivery, that's service and how your build a loyal following. Great service!

I had a $14 build-a-bowl with half rice pilaf and half greens, bifteki (ground beef), melitzanosalata (eggplant sauce), taziki (yogurt sauce) tomatoes, olive and feta. It was delicious, filling, and came out super fast since I was ordering around 8:30PM on a weeknight.
The service was friendly and professional. The atmosphere was like a typical fast casual place. It’s a small place and I’ve seen it get very busy, especially on weekend nights.
This place is ecological and a step up from most fast casual spots in that they serve their food in real ceramic bowls and have metal silverware. There is self-service of beverages, condiments, napkins etc. The staff did bring the food to my table, which is a nice touch. I bussed my own table.
I’ll most definitely be back once again.
