This is truly one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Tysons Corner area and the entire DMV. It is a true hole-in-the-wall gem. Not fine dining at all, but that is exactly what makes it special. Informal, cozy, and full of character.

The sushi is incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and consistently amazing. The ramen is outstanding. Rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and comforting every single time. Easily some of the best ramen in Tysons Corner and the DMV.

It feels like a place you can come to again and again. Honestly, I could eat here every day. Great food, warm atmosphere, and you can feel the care put into every dish.

Highly recommend supporting this local, owner-run spot. If you love authentic Japanese food, do not miss this place.

I wanted to sit down for dinner but I also wanted to be out in about 30 minutes, which might not have been possible. I decided to roll the dice. I already knew what I wanted when I walked in and left in about 30 minutes. Perfect haha. Service was attentive without being overbearing or feeling rushed. I got the miso soup, salad, and dragon roll. The food was so fresh, nicely seasoned, and hit all the right notes.

One of my favorite Japanese restaurants. The food is always delicious, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff is always caring. Their tempura udon is my go to comfort food!

The sushi was good, but the takoyaki was not very good.

Love this place! As soon as I walked in, they brought me water, took the order pretty quickly and they are always so quick to bring it out! Almost no wait time! My favorite salmon sake is as always, amazing! Not too much rice, great quality of salmon and a big piece. I also ordered Red Osaka roll, which came out with fire 🔥 around the roll. Great presentation and delicious sushi! Highly recommend! Also, the check was on my table very quickly, which I appreciate. I felt very well taken care of!

I wish I had found this place sooner, we thought it was even better than the other spots in Vienna (which are also good). The vegetarian options were impressive and I got a whole vegetarian sushi platter which was delicious. The non-vegetarian sushi was also reportedly delicious and well balanced. Everything seemed really fresh. I can’t wait to come back and try the ramen next time!

First time at sushi koji and I'll definitely be coming back, even with the 30 minute drive! I ordered the chirashi and the serving size was massive (well worth the price!), and each individual piece of sashimi was delicious. The atmosphere and service was also wonderful, and the owner was incredibly kind and made me a free drink for my birthday. My friends also got the chicken karaage and the large sushi platters, all delicious!

Since my friends introduced me to the restaurant, I instantly became a big fan of Sushi Koji over another Sushi Restaurant in Vienna where my best favorite for years. I spread the words to many, and bought my family and friends. Last week, I was disappointed for the entire experience.
1. Sushi lunch: No more choice of spicy tuna or California roll.
2. Sushi seems like to become bit smaller (I lived there because of the volume, so no more impressive)
3. Charged hot tea. (At ‘nice Japanese restaurant’?!)

Lastly, this is not only for this restaurant, but the restaurant does not serve white tuna in Japan, never just because we avoid. But I see all over inside sushi dishes in US. So I always ask the restaurant to alternate to other kind. Sushi Koji is the one of the restaurant that they accept to switch to other kind graciously.

Sushi Koji has been a very nice discovery, and I would try ramen or some other when I go next time. But for Sushi, I think I go back to other Sushi restaurant in Vienna.

The best sushi restaurant in the DMV. Sushi is always fresh and delicious and presentation is always a feat to the eye. The Ramyun with home made noodles always amazing with great flavors. Customer service very good. They remodeled the seating area its cozy and comfortable.

My first sushi experience in the US was here, and it couldn’t have been better. The sushi was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the place was very clean. From the outside it looks like a small, hidden spot, but it’s truly a gem!

Very unfriendly service. Was inpatient with me ordering and were out of almost all basic menu items. Didn’t even offer anything else so I had to leave. Disappointing

Great food. Super fresh sushi with generous portion. Also love their take on chirashi rice with all the toppings. I have to say it’s one of, if not my favorite chirashi in VA.
