Tango Pastry Café is a gem. The empanadas are outstanding and you can taste the care and love in every bite. I tried the beef and the spinach and cheese, both “STUFFED” and perfectly seasoned with a flaky crust that makes you want to order another round.
The café itself is cozy and inviting, the kind of place where you feel at home as soon as you sit down. The service is warm and efficient, adding to the charm of the experience.
Chef Katriel is a true artist in the kitchen. His pride in his work shines through in every dish, making this a place you want to come back to again and again.

As someone from Argentina, I was so excited to try this place, but the pastries are not authentic at all. They had an overpowering taste of artificial extract or sweetener, and the alfajores were absolutely inedible, with a strong chemical flavor. Service was fine, but sadly this is not a good representation of Argentine pastries.

The milanesa Napolitana is spicy.
Argentinians don’t eat spicy food. There was no description of it having hot sauce anywhere and mind you, it costs $24. I was offered milk to deal with the spicy meal. Totally inauthentic experience🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
The medialuna with jamón y queso was really delicious but again, pricy at $7 dollars.
I probably won’t come back . They also gave me a free coffee to post a review which I’m now editing to reflect the real experience.

It’s just ok. Very expensive for what is on offer. The choripan seemed to have been made with some random sausage; not sure why, Argentinian chorizo isn’t hard to source. They ran out of lettuce.

I ordered via Uber eats one spinach empanadas and one beef empanadas. What I received was one spinach and one ham&chesse with a note that they ran out of beef. We don't take ham and ended up throwing it in the trash. The restaurant should have called before throwing ham in the package or at a minimum give 2 spinach. Considering it’s quite pricey this is is a waste. Even the spinach, the pastry is rather doughy snd a bit uncooked. Very disappointed.

A totally negative experience at the newly opened Tango Pastry in Vienna, VA. We ordered coffee and smoothies, and they were so bad they went straight into the trash—completely full. The drinks were poorly made and barely drinkable. While the young woman who made them was kind and tried her best, the man who appeared to be the owner—sitting at a table watching everything—was shockingly rude. Instead of showing any concern or hospitality, he gave us dirty looks when we asked for the drinks to be remade. For a new shop opening in such an upscale neighborhood, you’d expect a basic level of customer service and quality. Sadly, this place had neither. Absolutely not recommended.
