New to this Pub.... Pizza crust was so good, reminded me a soft pretzel & the toppings on the supreme was loaded ( fyi it has jalapenos, if u don't like extra kick)....wait staff was very nice also...it's worth the drive, which is beautiful countryside

We visited this establishment after attending a community event hosted by the local fire department. We opted to sit at the counter for a slice of pizza and a beer away from the DJ and the music. While we appreciate the hard work of those in the service industry, unfortunately, the service we experienced was far below expectations. The pizza appeared to have been sitting out for an extended period so a few of us changed our minds on eating it. An individual in our group, who has prior experience in the service industry, discreetly suggested to our young waitress that after handling cash, it would be advisable to either wash hands or wear gloves before handling food. This suggestion was shared with a coworker, who responded by making an unprofessional and inappropriate comment directed at us. Furthermore, this same employee proceeded to throw food at customers they knew, which was highly unprofessional. In addition to the disappointing service, we also had an issue with lottery ticket redemption. Although purchasing scratch-off tickets was not a problem, when we attempted to redeem the two five dollar winning tickets, the manager refused to process them and instructed us to collect the money elsewhere, which is against Virginia lottery regulations and retailer agreements. This lack of accountability and customer service was frustrating and further contributed to a negative experience. Overall, this visit was disappointing, and we hope that the establishment will address these concerns to provide better service and professionalism for future guests.

They are definitely short staffed. So don’t expect to get an answer. Or even know if they’re open unless you see the sign. BUT I caught them open one Friday for lunch. The cook was a one man team! But he served me fast and made the best Italian sub I’ve ever had! The beer batter fries were amazing as well! So many options, I’ll be back!

The past few times we have been have not been the best experience but we decided to give it one more try on Sunday evening (thinking it would be a “safe” day to go). There were only three customers in the bar area but yet it took 7-10 minutes to be acknowledged. When we WERE acknowledged, the waitress very rudely told us that in 30 minutes they were going to be playing cornhole (inside!) so we may want to consider that. Then she said she would be a few minutes because she was busy (THREE people). We asked her if she could go ahead and get our orders and she got an attitude and walked off and didn’t come back. We as a family decided that was enough and left. As we were going to leave, she was getting menus, FINALLY!! Now, we had already been there approximately 20 minutes. We told her we were leaving and she slammed the menus down! My family won’t be going back to a place that we feel totally unwanted!!
We showed up on a Sunday, at 12:30, and they were closed.

For a small town pizza place, the pizza was fantastic! Actually I should not qualify it as a small town pizza place! This place could hold their own with any pizza place across America. I went when the AC was out, it happens! The staff was very friendly and engaging. I highly recommend this place for anyone passing through.
