They are definitely short staffed. So don’t expect to get an answer. Or even know if they’re open unless you see the sign. BUT I caught them open one Friday for lunch. The cook was a one man team! But he served me fast and made the best Italian sub I’ve ever had! The beer batter fries were amazing as well! So many options, I’ll be back!

The past few times we have been have not been the best experience but we decided to give it one more try on Sunday evening (thinking it would be a “safe” day to go). There were only three customers in the bar area but yet it took 7-10 minutes to be acknowledged. When we WERE acknowledged, the waitress very rudely told us that in 30 minutes they were going to be playing cornhole (inside!) so we may want to consider that. Then she said she would be a few minutes because she was busy (THREE people). We asked her if she could go ahead and get our orders and she got an attitude and walked off and didn’t come back. We as a family decided that was enough and left. As we were going to leave, she was getting menus, FINALLY!! Now, we had already been there approximately 20 minutes. We told her we were leaving and she slammed the menus down! My family won’t be going back to a place that we feel totally unwanted!!

For a small town pizza place, the pizza was fantastic! Actually I should not qualify it as a small town pizza place! This place could hold their own with any pizza place across America. I went when the AC was out, it happens! The staff was very friendly and engaging. I highly recommend this place for anyone passing through.

We FINALLY got to stop here on the way home from Lynchburg (we always see it on the way up). It will be a more frequent occurrence to stop. The atmosphere is nice. A little busy on the front to-go side, but 2nd dining was nice. We had both Americana and Italian styles...everything was excellent. Service was attentive, friendly and on-point! Will definitely tell maps to route to Pit Stop.
