Honestly the wings were really good overall. So definitely would go back for the wings. I just wish it was 6 wings instead of 5 because the price for 5 is 10$? Don’t really add up to me but okay, that was one thing. But if the foundation of this place is based on pizza?… it was pretty disappointing. My bf ordered a pepperoni pizza and I ordered flying Hawaiian. The pizza itself was pretty bland and very cheesy. Not red sauce was on found on the pizza and it was kinda sad 😕 because I really wanted to love this place.

We had some food on site and some takeout and all was as it should be. Amazing food and great service. Would 100% go again. Highly recommend. Assuming name comes from the movie but not sure. Anyways eat here you won’t regret it.

We love the people that work at LP and come in often for drinks/apps- but mostly for the people.
Great food and drinks at a good price. Great back patio for football season as well- a great upgrade from the prior restaurant

Came here mid afternoon on Memorial Day and it was packed. Despite seeming like they were short staffed, they continued to seat tables and 2 or 3 employees struggled to make it to all of the tables. I’m not sure if our server was new or what but what ensued was a litany of unfortunate events during our visit. Fair warning to those dining here - the pizza items and the rest of the menu are made in separate kitchens and will come out to the table at different times. While not ideal, I’m glad the staff lets people know before taking their order. We decided on a round of beers, 2 types of wings and a pepperoni calzone. The beers took quite a while to make it out and we were never offered another round. The server had to take our order twice, then after a lengthy wait, another table’s order was brought to our table. After that, our wings came out but the quantity and sauces were wrong. Someone at the table asked for a cup of sauce and another server brought it out to another table who were in the process of leaving. At this point we were puzzled by how out of sorts things were. Our server came over and rather than ask us if we wanted more drinks (they were empty) or how the food was, they instead offered to bring our check. We let them know the calzone still had not come out yet, which caused more confusion. We also asked for another cup of sauce, which the server promptly managed to drop into the umbrella hole in our table. Once we were able to eat, the food was fantastic. I’d put the wings up against any others in town - perfect amount of crispiness and flavorful sauce. Unfortunately that was the only highlight of our meal and I’m not sure we’ll be back until we see some positive reviews about the service situation.

Just a very meh experience. I’m originally from New York and I take my pizza seriously. This place does not have it. I’d be willing to go back and try some other options, but some of their staff said that the pizza was really their best menu item and it was….well….not great. Service was a bit slow for how many diners they had, but atmosphere was nice.
4/10, I’ll re-review if/when we try it again.

Ordered a 12-inch pizza, took it home, and immediately noticed something was off — it looked tiny. I honestly thought they gave me the wrong order, like a 6-inch personal pizza by mistake.

I went back, and even the waitress agreed something didn’t look right. She called over the manager, who also wasn’t sure if what I had was actually a 12-inch. He checked with the chef (I believe the owner), who supposedly measured it and confirmed it was 12 inches.

Well, I measured it too — and it’s clearly 11 inches across. Check the photos. That’s a full inch short than advertised, and they still charged full price. Rather than acknowledge the issue, they just insisted it was correct — even though no one on staff seemed confident until the very end.

What’s worse: I used to come here and think the price was great for the size. Not anymore. The pizzas have clearly shrunk, but the price hasn’t. This cost me $20.59 after tax — and it barely fed one person.

If you're just looking for good pizza and not a stroll through Old Town, do yourself a favor and go to Spitony’s.

The parts of the pizza that weren't black and burned like they'd survived a house fire were pretty dang good.

I went there with my family on a Thursday for my birthday lunch. The restaurant was not busy (only 2 tables with customers). Everyone’s food came out 10 minutes apart, no drink refills and MY food never came out. I emailed about our service twice and received no response.

Best pizza in town, and amazing gluten free pizza.

Update: On a second visit, the pizza toppings are still amazing, but the gluten free pizza crust this time was the hard, cracker thin gf crust that most restaurants serve. I’m not sure what happened to the other gluten free pizza crust here previously that was one of the best I’ve ever had, rivaling Ciao Osteria in Centreville. (And yes, the first one I had at Licorice was gf because I become violently ill if I eat gluten, and did not get sick with the first crust.) So in an amended review, the pizza topping are awesome, but you can get a better GF pizza crust in Warrenton at Ledo or Spitonys.

We absolutely loved Licorice Pizza and try to go at least twice a month. After going since they opened, I recently found I have celiac disease. They have the best gluten free pizza i have had so far anywhere in the area! My daughter also absolutely loves the fun kids drinks they have.
