Stopped in for breakfast… Ordered two eggs over easy, bacon, home fries and toast. Eggs were over hard, home fries were frozen potatoes that were dropped in the deep fryer. No seasoning, tasted like par cooked French fries. Bacon was definitely sand bagged, meaning cooked earlier this morning or yesterday and thrown on the grill to heat up before serving. Sweet tea was good and served was great. Clean restaurant and clean bathroom. I normally go to Frost for breakfast but thought I’d give this place a try…back to frost next week!

By far one of our favorite places to grab breakfast in the area. We have been coming here for a long time and have never been disappointed. They did the catering for one our events and we got so many compliments on the food. Highly recommend this Northside 29.

Our experience was great, unfortunately the restrooms were in shambles. No hand soap, no papertowels, and the restroom needed cleaning. Also, as I was using the restroom, an employee kept knocking on door to hurry me up. I was not in the restroom maybe 2 to 4 minutes. Very rude, other than that no issues with service. This was also on Sunday, 11 JAN 2026 at around 1:00pm

I've hit the Northside on occasion since the 80's and it's always been a reliable breakfast joint.
The food has gotten better over time and most recently elevated it's offering. I'd give it three and a half stars, if available. And it's now it's on par with the local competition.
I can't speak to other meal times.

My wife, youngest daughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed N29 restaurant during a Tuesday late brunch / early lunch. We wanted to try a new local spot to celebrate after our child’s Thanksgiving Program. N29 was the perfect spot. Glad we arrived shortly after 11am. The restaurant was filling up quickly by the time we left at noon. On Tuesdays, N29 offers 50% off all burgers listed on their menu. Talk about a great deal, and the beef is direct from a local farm! My wife and I both ordered burgers. I chose the Western (Bacon, BBQ, Onion Ring and Cheddar) Cheeseburger off their menu. N29 Western is one of the best burgers I’ve scarfed down in recent years. My wife also enjoyed her burger, which was a traditional cheeseburger. My wife and daughter were both pumped to hear about their Fall specials, for instance, apple cinnamon mimosas, and pumpkin pancakes. Our daughter was so happy with the pumpkin pancakes. I tried a bite and immediately asked if she’d let me have a second…mmm so good. We ordered mimosas while we waited for the food. We didn’t have to wait long though, as the food arrived quickly, maybe ten minutes (perk of arriving at 11am) after ordering. In general, the service was outstanding. The hosts and waitress’ were personable and courtesy. I could tell both were attentive and we enjoyed our engagement with both of them. We plan to come back again and invite a much larger party next time to enjoy Tuesday lunch over the holidays. They do have a table in the dining area that sits 8 and they can also combine tables in the bar area to accommodate larger parties. We are glad to have finally stopped to try their food. Northside 29 (N29) is a great stop for Warrenton and Haymarket residents, or visitors passing through on highway 29. If you like Bloody Mary’s, swing through on a Sunday. It’s half off bloodies. I tried the N29 bloody after finishing my lunch. It’s their special mix on the spicer side, and is worth a try.
