Under new management since August 2025, the Grainery has been focusing on building community and bringing back chill vibes—has both big, high-energy events and relaxed days for studying or just hanging out with friends. On Wednesdays the Grainery has 25% for nurses, teachers, other school/medical/hospital staff, first responders, veterinarians, military (and vets), etc. to celebrate the community. Thursdays are packed for Trivia, Fridays are game nights (alternating weeks between board games and music bingo), Saturday and Sunday there are different events and specials. Cool place to host events like birthday parties or book clubs
Only one staff member working that day. Making food and drinks. Wait, was too long. Had to leave and go somewhere else. My first and only visit.

Always passed by, never stopped. Just decided to come in today and was very pleasantly surprised. It’s very cute inside and the ciders are so tasty and not super sweet. Both bartenders today (08-23) were extremely friendly and helpful. Will be back next time we are in town!
Did a flight with lunch, the fish tacos were very good, as were the curly fries. Will be back again with friends and family. Dog friendly, they even had a dog bed our girl could use
Best lineup of ciders I've ever had at a single place!
We stopped in here on a Sunday mid-afternoon to try the cider while traveling in the area. I happened to find it in the map after we toured the old jail museum. The property is adjacent to a walking trail which I didn’t know about but it looked like a nice place for a walk.
We were greeted immediately by the bartender and we ordered a cider flight to share. We didn’t order any food but I overheard someone say they have charcuterie trays they serve in pizza boxes and that sounded cool. The cider was ok - my favorite was Bogey. They weren’t bad at all, just not as crisp and flavorful as some others I have had. The bartender was friendly and personable. She seemed to know everyone else in there, but that may just be her welcoming personality. The atmosphere was laid back and easygoing. There were arcade style games in one of the rooms - claw machine, air hockey, basketball. Prices were comparable to other cideries we have been to. It looks like they do some cool upcoming events - you can probably find info on the website.
We came here because they advertised for the Pro Bowl to be on and $6 ciders. Only to get here and they have the god awful movie Lord of the Rings and on FULL blast, so loud!! and to be charge regular price $8 for our ciders. It's a shame because the Firebelly is good. But we weren't looking to go to a movie theater. We were looking to have a drink & watch sports (as advertised)
Was invite for come watch a band here by friends. Wife and I went, the place is charming, the band was great, the service was friendly and welcoming. Not sure it qualifies as a critique as it clearly says “cider bar” but I was surprised that nothing but cider was an option. Would definitely come back if other drinks were served as well, but to each their own. Great place, nice people.
Wild Hare was a true oasis on Christmas Day. Despite the holiday, they welcomed us with open arms. Our bartender was exceptionally warm and friendly, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The cider was absolutely delicious, and we loved that they’re dog-friendly too—such a thoughtful touch! We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

We went there due to a live band which was not there as advertised. The place was empty with one two table occupied. Very open place and liked the wood looks. As it was empty with no entertainment we decided not to eat here but staff wS friendly.
Parking: Limited space for their own parking lot as they share with other restaurant. But we were able to find parking. One can park on the street also.

Wild Hare is our go to for cider. The cider here is not sweet. It has complex flavors and natural ingredients. Best of all it’s made locally with heritage Virginia apples. The employees are super nice people and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.
Food is available and it has always been very good. Live music, Trivia, and other entertainment happens daily. Wild Hare is a great neighborhood location to visit, relax, and enjoy a delicious cider.
We tried the recently introduced ‘Revel’ and it was very tasty. Honestly I have never had a cider here that I did not enjoy.
Parking: Parking is easy the vast majority of the time. Unless there is an event occurring on Main Street Warrenton parking is available in close proximity.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheel chair ramp.

This place is amazing. The staff and management are awesome. It's truly a part the Warrenton community. Great ciders, great food and the patrons are friendly. Pets and children are always welcome and Kimberlee, the manager, will truly make your visit special.
Go for the cider, stay because you've been bewitched by the blue-haired cider slinger behind the bar with the sharp tongue and piercing gaze.
