I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. I have not been there in a couple years. my son took me there today for mother's Day lunch and the waitress had a complete meltdown. screaming through the restaurant that I was giving her attitude. She threw her order book into the back Booth ranting and raving through the restaurant into the kitchen throwing and knocking things down all over the kitchen had to go outside in rant and yell out there and had a cigarette. I told the owner exactly what happened and what was said and she made excuses for her that she was having a day because it was busy. personally I don't care, because just like every other woman there we were having our mother's Day lunch with our families. I was completely embarrassed it was like watching Jerry Springer live. I will never go back again.
First of all, I might be more critical since I came from China and I have developed an acquire taste for authentic Chinese food.
Overall I think Hunan Village is a good place to satisfy your cravings for Chinese food. Please note that Lunch Specials are very good deals since they are under ten dollars and come with an Egg Rolls and Fried Rice. It is even offered on weekends.
Dragon & Phoenix was very expensive, it is basically half shrimp and vegetables with half of the General Tao’s Chicken. General Tao’s Chicken was actually pretty tasty. Imperial Chicken has a good amount of chicken and mixed vegetables. The chicken was very tender, but the whole dish was slightly bland for my taste. I wouldn’t recommend the Moo Shi Pork, it is nothing special, and the wrap was breaking apart since they weren’t heated properly. Do not order the Boneless Spareribs, it wasn’t the spareribs, rather it was cut up Chinese BBQ pork with lots of sweet sauce. I did not like it. The Fried Meat Dumplings was pretty good, I liked the meat filling. Shrimp Tempura was good. Chicken on the Stick was not the best, I probably should ordered the Beef on the Stick.
English speaking waitress knows the menu well enough to give you recommendations.
Even though I didn’t order it while I was there, but I think Pu Pu Platter would be a good appetizer to try and it would impress your date.
Ordered PuPu platter and house fried rice takeout. Tasted like it was days old. The fried rice was a very dark brown and did not taste very good. This is the second time the food was awful. It’s sad because the food was good in the past.
Best tasting Chinese in the area. I'm from n.y. and this is delicious food. Other places like kilmarnock or the buffet over by Anna's pizza is terrible food. This food is hands down the real deal .recommend 100%
Poor customer service by the guy with the earring.
food is delicious
Husbands out of town for the next couple of days so the teenagers and I decided to order Chinese takeout. There are two options in our town so we chose Humans since we hadn't had it in a while. We were massively disappointed. Cheese fried wontons were inedible, really hard and almost 8 dollars for 6 of them. I can make them at home for about 6 bucks and have 3 dozen ( the price wouldn't of been an issue if they were actually edible). The eggrolls were gross, I'm not sure what was in them but they were the worst eggrolls I've ever had. Shrimp and cashews was good but way too much sauce, it was literally drowning. Chicken lomein was fine. The orange chicken was not great either, mostly breading, sauce was red which was odd because it's always been a light orange color everywhere else and as a whole it was just lacking. My 18 year old who is a lineman on his football team will literally eat just about anything and this was the first time he didn't clean his plate. I hate leaving this review because my husband and I used to love this place, their food was always good, but this was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time.

Got our order mixed up yesterday called today took 15 min on the phone for him to say we need to bring the food back, so in order to make it right, well we don't live nearby. The food use to be so good there, now its horrible, he said they've never had a complaint like this before. Ask why we didnt call last night , well we didnt eat it until 10pm. They are closed by then. Never again, goodbye to what use to be the best food.

Visiting from out of town and wanted Chinese. Went to Hunan Village and ordered shrimp and broccoli. Both were swimming in this thick dark sauce. I attempted to pour off what I could but I just wasn't able to eat it. The broccoli was soggy with sauce. Can't understand why they put that much sauce in my carry out dish. Never again!!!

I have not had Chinese food in a long time (or really any takeout) and used to love eating here back around 2007-09. The food was always on point and the place was packed.
Thought I would treat myself today while I was in Warsaw. Ordered the lunch special with orange beef, hot and sour soup.
The soup was perfect and I'm very particular about my hot & sour.
Orange beef, as some has phrased it already, was "inedible".
Took three bites and tossed the reset. Neon orange sauce, couldn't tell the difference between beef or chicken - it was a gray meet, and my mouth just kind of said "nope".
Beer cases stacked next to the door, not many folks at lunch. Staff was friendly. But, unfortunately, I will not be back.
