Excellent food for the price, staff are almost always very short with you at this location, especially when using the drive-thru which isn't great, but personally I care far more about accuracy and speed of service than people being polite, and they do a good job there.

Jan 8, 2026 went to cook out 6:20 pm order 2 hamburgers with LTM. Received hamburgers with mustard and mayonnaise. But that was not the real issue. The real problem was uncooked red meat. This is a serious matter serving raw hamburger could make someone real sick or even cause a death. I plan to report them to the HEALTH DEPARTMENT TODAY. I don’t think they understand the seriousness of this incident, but they will after today.
Waynesboro Cook out is TERRIBLE !!! After 5:00 PM the food is terrible, 3 times the same problem burnt and I mean really burnt hamburgers cold food just thrown together without care or consideration of the customer. When they first opened it was pretty decent now it’s just disgusting. I thought I give them one last try and on 10/9/2017 place order for 2 hamburgers, both were so over cooked they looked like coal. I ask for a refund and I will never go back. Went to Steak and Shake and received a good meal. From now on its Steak & Shake,.. Goodbye to that kids playground that call themselves a COOK OUT. Its a cold mess!

This is my favorite place to go when we have extra money! It has a tons of different options not to mention how amazing there milkshakes are. Go there! The prices are on point

For this places main thing being trays and the variety of milkshakes they offer, they sure love to shut the milkshake machines down early.
Im currently sitting in the drive thru writing this review. At 1:08am on a night they close at 3am, they’ve already shut their machines down and can’t make anymore shakes. That’s absolutely ridiculous, and it’s not the first time it’s happened and I know it won’t be the last either.
They love to constantly do this and it’s very frustrating as someone who goes there for the milkshakes.
