I am not exaggerating when I say this is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had in my 35 years living in the Shenandoah Valley. Iguana Azul absolutely nailed it in every possible way. We ordered the taco salad, tamales, chips and guacamole, and the molcajete burrito, and every item was outstanding. The portions are incredibly generous, the prices are more than reasonable, nothing is overpriced, and every single bite tasted fresh. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and prepared with care. All of these things are extremely important to me when ordering takeout.
On top of the amazing food, the pickup experience was completely seamless. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. If I am being completely honest, I was NOT expecting it to be this good. The reason I am raving is because the food truly felt homemade, which is not something you usually experience with takeout. It genuinely tasted like it came straight from an elder’s kitchen, made with love and tradition.
Iguana Azul is amazing in every aspect of the word, and I will 100 percent be back to dine in. Highly recommend.

Consistently great Mexican food! I eat here about once a month, and they have always been excellent. Smaller scale place, but has a big menu selection! Things i order seem less greasy than the same dish at other local & chain options.

Holy moly just discovered this place and the food was excellent. Portions, pricing, quality, everything was exceptional.
Did have to wait about 10 minutes to have my to go order taken at the checkout counter but they were very busy and it was lunch time. Happens.
Got a fajita burrito and side of refried beans and you could tell everything was fresh and good quality.
Chips and Salsa is always an important barometer for me and they were on point. Lots of flavor, a little heat but not excessive, and didn't taste like marinara thankfully. Chips came out still hot too. Salsa had a very slight sweetness to it but not overwhelming.

Found this by searching best rated restaurants in the area when passing through. I am so happy that I did. The food was amazing. The portions were huge, and the prices were very reasonable. Added bonus, there was a very talented singer playing while we were having dinner.

First time here I was surprised they have a Mexican food buffet. We don’t see that very often. I enjoyed the buffet and our waitress was very friendly.

I ordered a ton of food with my family and they got our order completely incorrect and then said they couldn’t find our order in the system. I had tried to call last evening but no one could understand me. I spoke with the manager today and he told me there was nothing he couple do. I was really looking forward to my meal that came inedible. My first experience was great, so this is a real bummer. No more of this Mexican for me! Staff has no knowledge of the business they are doing. And I will be spreading this message around to other people who consider going there.
