Terrible customer service experience tonight. The restaurant was relatively dead, I saw maybe 2-3 groups walk in spaced apart (6 people or less in each) as I sat as the only person on the bar side. My server stopped checking on me at 3pm. I sat for 40 minutes with an empty plate and drink waiting for someone to cash me out, which thankfully the bartender came in around 3:50 and saved me. I think my server just said screw it and left me to wait for the bartender to come in for 4PM start of shift so I wasn’t his problem anymore.

Conveniently located near our hotel, we decided to try this restaurant for dinner. We ordered a combo platter of two chili rellenos to share as an appetizer. The cheese was plentiful and nicely melted. However, the pepper I had was thin and the coating was not detectable. I followed this with a taco salad with ground beef. The meat was nicely flavored, and I added the remaining salsa from the complimentary chips and salsa to the cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. The best part of the dish for me was the fresh flaky eatible bowl. My wife enjoyed a side of guacamole and chips. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the wait staff was attentive.

Best Mexican red we have ever been to. The portions were large and the food was excellent! Really neat bar and spot for bands outside. Definitely check them out!

We had tableside guacamole, a beautiful salad and grilled fish tacos for dinner. Delicious, authentic Mexican food. Highly recommend!

First time here, and won't be back. Walked in at 7:20 pm and literally waited 8 minutes before anyone even attempted to greet us. The best thing about my meal was the margarita, and to be honest, it was prettier than what it tasted. I ordered the Al Pastors street tacos and the elotes soup. The soup was microwaved so hard and so long, it was burnt to the side of the bowl. The tacos, the meat was so hard, so dried up that it was inedible. My husband got the birria tacos. He said they were decent. And let's not talk about the chips and salsa that we were served. Salsa was decent but the chips, lol all we got were broken chips that were crumbs. Honestly, I've NEVER had Mexican good this bad. Will NEVER return!!!

The food is excellent. However the wait times are extremely and excessively long! We were seated and waited over 20 minutes just to be able to order drinks and have totopos on the table. 20 more minutes to get our drinks, and over an hour since arrival till any food was served. The food is superb, and this is a rare restaurant where the chef actually knows how to do a medium-well steak! Not medium nor too well done. I had to get up and scout out a waiter or cashier to pay the bill. This should never be, as we had an appointment to get to, and were soon to be left with no option but to leave without paying. We ended up spending almost 3 hours there. Will I return? Only if I've got 3 hours to kill waiting for a slightly above average meal.

Parking: Shared parking lot can get quite full. Slots are small, not van or big pickup truck friendly.

Kid-friendliness: They understand children (we went with 3) and the waiter accommodated them nicely!

First off, who goes to a Mexican restaurant and doesn't get chips at the table? Apparently, it costs extra for chips and salsa at this restaurant.
The chicken taco is so dry that you can't chew it. We were sitting at the bar and watched other servers and they didn't know what was going on. I do not recommend this place. We came because their outdoor area looked great. But when we arrived there was no service outside. We only came because we were staying in the hotel next door.

Have ordered delivery thru their app many times. I order tonight, card is charged, email received that they got my order. 1.5 hours waiting, I called to check on the status and was told they aren't Plaza Azteca anymore and they don't use that app. I ask about the charge on my card, was told to dispute thru cc company, fine. It would have been nice for the app to mention not to use it or at least not accept orders and charge people. Went to the website for the name they are now, Plaza Antigua. Go to the menu, and at the bottom it says to download the app to order. Click on it and it takes me to the same app I used originally and was told they don't use. Liked their food but we won't be going back there again.

We stayed at a nearby hotel and happened upon this restaurant bc it was within walking distance. Sat out back at the picnic tables to listen to the band they had playing. Tacos and nachos were amazing! So tasty! Service was friendly. Bucket of beer deal was just what was needed after a long day of driving. Definitely recommend!!
