Last night was our first time trying Austin Grill. The food was delicious and the service by Jess was superb. The guacamole was excellent! We've lived here for 5 1/2 years and wish we'd gone sooner. If you haven't been, give it a try!

The service was great, but the food was just....not good. I ordered a burrito and my husband ordered a quesadilla - both dishes with steak. The steak was really tough and overcooked, and my burrito was mostly just full of rice. It was just really underwhelming and didn't taste like much of anything. We were also really confused about there also being a seafood restaurant there too? We aren't planning to come back - there are so many amazing Mexican and Tex-mex places in the area instead.

Terrible terrible terrible -service food and yes the margaritas!!. Chuys is better! And elpaso! Sorry Austin grill what a huge disappointment - bad management didn't make it right either! Order wrong no food an hour later and $15 for a terrible margarita in a plastic cup. Blahhhhhhhh

What happened to this place? My wife and I went to enjoy dinner together at this place. We haven't been here for two years. Since then they have combined this place with a seafood restaurant. Tex-Mex and Seafood...yeah don't seem to work well together. First, the table was dirty and had to be wiped for us and another customer. We ordered drinks and I didn't bother finishing mine because of the horrible chunks of jalapeno. My wife ordered a Pomegranate Margarita that tasted more like pink lemonade and a splash of tequila. This place used to be great. The fajitas were ok but I was turned off by what seemed to be instant microwave rice and seasonless black beans right out of the can. The shrimp had Old bay seasoning so it looks like they do not separate seasoned food for Tex-Mex and Seafood menu. So disappointed!!!

Great place and great food, great music on Friday nights, it needs happy hour prices. “The drinks are a bit over priced” The waiters, managers, and staff, are superb. I love the cotton candy that you give your costumers. Kids love it!!! The chicken wings, are to die for, and the waffle fries are delicious ?

The meal I had at this place was by far the worst I’ve had in recent memory. We seriously were concerned of chipping a tooth.The margaritas lacked tequila.First let me start by saying I rarely review places. When I say tasteless I mean not even salt…each out of the box or can, boiled in water and put on a plate would be my guess for just about everything on my plate.To top this off the place charges prices as if they were in the middle of DC, which this location is far from it.Unfortunately I don’t recommend spending your money here..

Austin Grill used to be great back in the day. May have even been family owned 20 years ago. Tonight was the end for me. I heard it's corporately owned now, and with a seafood restaurant within the same space. Confusing to the customer and the staff didn't even bother to give us the seafood restaurant menu anyway. Based on other reviews, sounds like overpriced frozen fish crap. As for the Mexican, nothing like it used to be. Mediocre at best! The chips and salsa used to be free. Tonight I had to pay for some stale something disguising itself as a chip! My wife's $14 dollar burrito came with no sides, and I think Chipotle's burrito might be better. Since we used to like the place so much we decided to try again. You used to have to wait for a seat on a Friday night at 6:30pm. Tonight it was practically empty, even when we left an hour later. It's clear why!! I felt sorry for our waitress who was great. She practically begged us to come back more often!! No can do!

Left wanting more…Tacos were poor quality, half-filled and flavorless. Salsa was a little better but there are better Texmex places in the area to choose.

I am from Austin Tx and decided to stop in and see if it gave me home feels, and it definitely did. I love the restaurant/bar and definitely plan on visiting again trying some other things on the menu. I came in for brunch and had the steak and eggs and it was ?. I got my steak medium-well and it was very flavorful which can be hit or miss at some places but this flank steak was perfect. The atmosphere is laid-back and the drinks are also good, definitely recommend folks stopping in.* I put the pico on my eggs, it didn't come like that.
Our server Estevan is a very high energy and positive individual!He's a great asset for the company!Please Please Please don't let him go!Everything looked and smelled mouth watering!Unfortunately the textures lacked in my enchiladas and house salad.For the price that I paid for my meal didn't equal the amount served!Photo 1: House Salad: Lettuce, Diced Tomatoes, Roasted Corn Kernels, Shredded Cheese.Missing other salad items!Photo 2: 3 Soft Shrimp Tacos, Rice and Beans Platter, needs a mild sauce.Photo 3: Chicken Enchiladas Platter, needs 1 o 2 more Enchiladas added to equal price.Ladies Bathroom needs work ?I hope to have Estevan as my server again.

If you go, ask for Tram! She is so adorable and attentive. Really made our experience wonderful! The food was pretty good. The ribs were good but the spices effected me. The bang bang shrimp sauce is delicious. A lot of batter on the shrimp in the appetizer. The fajitas were a huge hit!!!

Decided to stop in for lunch today. Boy has it changed with the new management. I had the steak tacos and they were delicious. I also had a margarita and it was delicious, I hated them before. Friendly service, delicious food. I’ll be back! Gotta try more from the new menu.

I have been going to Austin Grille most Tuesdays since they opened back up after the initial pandemic hit. I used to go for Sunday brunch, but switched to Taco Tuesdays. I have had tacos at other local places. I keep coming back here because I like these best. They taste fresh and do not give that "I am uncomfortably stuffed" feeling. Of course there is also the service. It is always friendly and fast. And yes they do remember my order every week. I go alone, bring friends, or even have brought a first date. Service is consistent throughout.
