This place has gone way down hill. The food is terrible. The service is bad and it seems like they just don't care. The chicken is terrible. I don't know where they get it, but I hope they find a new source for it. It tastes like it came from a can in a bomb shelter...maybe packaged in about 1947. No flavor and barely any texture left to it. I figured I'd make it easy and ordered a grilled cheese. They screwed that up. They toasted it for about 2 seconds...so basically white bread with unmelted cheese in the middle. Oh, but the edges were burnt. The soup isn't bad, i guess that's harder to screw up. But, they can always forget it. Twice when I got a you pick 2 with soup, they forgot to put it in the bag. I've learned my lesson, not going here any more.

While the quality of the food remains the same, I can't express enough how unpleasant it is to visit the West Springfield location. I've gone multiple times and it's always filthy. And with the layout, it's always cold in the winter months. Did I say it was filthy? For a few extra miles, I would recommend going to the one on Fairfax Boulevard. Great customer service and I could frequently see them cleaning and even picking up our trays once we finished eating.

So, I usually don’t do reviews but I had to cause I’m done giving this Panera chances to better themselves. It’s not the first time they have been stingy with food. The food itself is good and I’ve come to this Panera ever since it first opened. But it’s getting ridiculous that some ingredients are barely there or non existent. I ordered the breakfast family meal today and this was my first time getting breakfast from Panera. Everything was fine until I opened up my chicken avocado breakfast sandwich and there were only about 4 1/2 of tiny pieces of chicken…. Are you kidding me? Either this is a joke or they just don’t care. And like I said before, this isn’t the first time. I really hope they see this and do better.
The manager is rude, the workers are rude. I understand it’s a big chain and people come here for staples, I would pick a different one.

Today, my daughter and I placed a rapid pick-up order at our local Panera. I received a notification that it was ready nine minutes before we arrived, but when we got there—our bag was nowhere in sight.
Enter Sana, the incredible assistant manager who handled everything with professionalism, empathy, and genuine kindness. She immediately started piecing things together and, after checking their system and cameras, realized that two teenage girls had likely stolen our food. Their behavior—lingering by the counter and then abruptly leaving with a bag—lined up with our order’s timeline. While most people would have simply apologized and moved on, Sana went above and beyond.
Not only did she remake our entire order promptly, but she also offered us complimentary drinks and a cookie to ease the inconvenience—small gestures that made a big difference. What impressed me most was her grace under pressure. She was composed, attentive, and thoughtful. I could tell she genuinely cared about not just fixing the mistake, but also making sure we left feeling valued.
I feel terrible that the store lost revenue because of someone else’s poor choices, but I left feeling grateful for the way this team responded. In a world where great customer service is not always impressive, this Panera and especially Sana reminded us how much it still matters.
Thank you for turning a frustrating moment into a memorable act of kindness.

What happened to Panera? The quality has gone way done. The bread of my sandwich seemed stale & unflavored.

I'm a regular at the Panera Bread in my neighborhood, and I usually go in the morning. I place my order before heading to work and then pick it up on my way to the office. It's super convenient because the I-66 highway is right there, so it only adds about two minutes to my commute. It's a quick and easy way to grab my breakfast before starting the day.

This Panera needs a SERIOUS face-lift. It is grungy; bathrooms need update big time. New carpet and chairs needed. Food is good. Service is good. Place just feels sloppy & dirty.

It was all great. Just a small detail ... with the sandwiches, I had ordered 2 x iced caramel lattes. Neither of them had the caramel in them, so not as delicious as expected.

I spent $12.99 today for a delivery order of the new Chicken Caprese Salad. It came without any chicken. I called the store, hoping they would re-deliver a correct order. Instead, the manager offered to refund only the cost of the salad. I still had to pay for the delivery fee ($5) of the chicken-less chicken salad and the tip I added to the order. So I had a bad dinner and had to pay for the privilege of their terrible service.
Stay away from this Panera.

20250528 First time here. Got a custom salad, herbal tea and cookie. Everything was real good, as expected. The salad was beautifully packed tight into the container... it looked like a bottomless salad as I was eating it. I would come here again.
