Pupatella Springfield is awesome. A great atmosphere, delicious pizzas and other dishes, and the staff is wonderful and customer service oriented. Especially Caitlyn L! She is knowledgeable of the menu, has a great personality, and made our dining experience a great one. I’m not a fan of white pizzas; however, Caitlyn’s suggestion to try the Buffalo Bianca was a winner. The pizza was delicious. Without Caitlyn’s suggestion we would never have experienced it. Great job Pupatella Springfield and Caitlyn!

From NY and I understand this Neapolitan pizza but it was not worth $17 and not good at all. The sausage had no taste…like nothing…no fennel or spice. I ordered it a little crispy but still received a floppy spongy pizza. The undercarriage was non existent. No char. The sauce was really good and smoked mozz was ok. Hopefully they can fix this but have no plans on going back.

Last night we ordered two pizzas online at 6:15 and received a receipt that indicated that the pizzas would be ready for pickup at 7 PM. When we arrived at 7, we were told that the pizzas would be ready in 7-8 minutes. At 7:20 and 7:30 we were told that they would be ready in 10 minutes. Meanwhile, customers eating in the restaurant who arrived while we were waiting were being served their pizzas. At 7:40, we finally cancelled our order. We love Pupatella but this was a totally frustrating and disappointing experience. If they can't fill online orders they should stop taking the orders.

We've been to this location a couple of times, and I am not impressed at all. The meatballs don't have much of a taste and this past time were served cold. The pizza can be good but are hit or miss. The first time there the dough was undercooked and limp, this past time it was cooked well. There are a lot of people in NOVA that swear by Pupatella, I have seen glimpses of what it can be. The potential has yet to be fulfilled.

Just spent 5 minutes right now, at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, trying to get the attention of several employees who were talking to each other in a virtually empty restaurant and ended up leaving.
Great pizza place in West Springfield! The pizza ovens are imported from Italy for a more authentic experience. The ingredients are fresh coupled with friendly service and a decent atmosphere.

Always high quality pizza, but some frustration with slow service when I’ve eaten in the restaurant. Servers possibly spread too thin and forgetting tables. Also, they generously offer a military and first responder discount, but cannot (anymore) honor it over the phone or via their website. Perhaps an id.me service might be worthwhile in the future.

A Great Lunch at Pupatella
I had lunch at Pupatella recently, and it was such a great experience that I had to share. We started with the mozzarella balls as an appetizer, and let me just say—they were amazing! Paired with some of the best marinara sauce we’ve ever had, they were crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Definitely worth ordering if you go.
For the main course, we got a Margherita pizza, adding sausage and pepperoni, along with a side salad. Everything came out fresh and hot, and you could tell they take pride in their food. The pizzas had that perfect Neapolitan-style crust—soft with a bit of char—and the flavors were spot on. The salad, which we customized with mustard dressing (no olives) and added freshly grated Parmesan cheese, was fresh and complemented the meal beautifully.
We finished things off with their house-made tiramisu, which was honestly the perfect way to end the meal. It wasn’t overly sweet and had just the right amount of espresso flavor. I would absolutely order it again.
On top of the great food, the service was fantastic. Our waiter, Ricky, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He made sure we always had refills and checked in often to see if we needed anything. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend asking for him—he really made the experience even better.
There was, however, one small hiccup during our visit. The sangria we ordered was unfortunately flavorless, almost watered down. When we sent it back, the manager behind the bar insisted there wasn’t any water in it, which felt a little unnecessary (of course, we know that). It didn’t affect the overall experience too much, but the manager came across as a bit unwelcoming. That said, the rest of the staff—especially the other servers—went above and beyond, treating everyone with respect and kindness.
Overall, I’d highly recommend Pupatella for a delicious, casual meal. Between the great food and Ricky’s outstanding service, I’ll definitely be back soon!

Pupatella is a great spot for delicious food! Order the cannolis. The zesty lemon flavor with the creamy ricotta and salty pistachios was to die for! I’m ordering them to get delivered to my hotel for the second day in a row. The shells are yummy as well. Great place- good people- wonderful food. ☺️♥️
