Beautiful brewery. Staff is amazing. Beer is even better. Highly recommend!

Been a mug owner at the goat for a year now and just renewed our membership for 2025! They do a great job of crafting true to European style beers, which is a treat for me after having lived abroad in London and Germany for several years. The staff is incredibly friendly and treats you like family. Eric, the owner, is an amazing person who takes the time to talk to guests, gets to know them. It’s a very friendly space for families as well - my girls love getting to see the goats and pet them on pet the goat days, and play soccer and bocce with other kids at the brewery in the warmer months. It’s a must visit location if you haven’t been there.

We had a lovely afternoon enjoying the brews and views! We had a Maibock style which is sometimes hard to find, and it was delicious. We ate a bratwurst sandwich and pulled chicken from the Cosmic Smoke-N-BBQ truck, also very tasty. There is plenty of seating inside and out, with gorgeous mountain views. They actually have goats there, and a row of hops growing by the driveway. We enjoyed peering into the brewery through glass windows and chatting with the friendly bartender.

Quit messing around and get here! But don’t tell the wrong people... the refurbed old stable rooms for watching college football or NLDS baseball were perfect. The Festbier was excellent and the set up is magnificent. Soulful singers playing on the porch with sunsets and mountain valley sunser glow all around! Children were laughing and running the grounds; such a pleasant place. Wished I could have my favorite peeps with me here. Will be back.

Go for the great beer. Stay for the atmosphere.

The brewmwister brought his A game. Everything was a hit from the Kolsch to the Schwarzbier. The Lackner Lager was my favorite with the Heffeweizen a close 2nd as a refreshing and flavorful drink on a warm day. While I didn't try the IPAs, a friend in my group vouched for them as well.

The brewery is surrounded by farmland with an unspoiled view of the mountains. It can be equally enjoyed by those with or without kids. The owner went out of his to make it inclusive and family friendly. There is corn hole and other yard games and a sandbox for kids. There are several fire pits to enjoy on a crisp evening. There's plenty of seating but you could just as easily bring a favorite camp chair. Indoors, there are tables with big screen TVs.

It is relatively new and some things are a work in progress. The food options are a bit pricey but you can bring your snacks. They are minor drawbacks that don't tarnish an otherwise great brewery. I will definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Alpine Goat Brewery's inaugural Oktobest event held on 14 September. The wide variety of flavorful brews, authentic German Oompah music, welcoming staff, ample and free parking, and gregarious patrons combined for a delightful experience. The venue is absolutely family friendly offering games and activities for children. The food trucks offered a variety of items including ice cream and shakes. I definitely will return!

Wow - what a hidden gem! We have been vacationing at Massanutten for 20+ years and always explore the local area in the Shenandoah valley for interesting places to eat, drink, and enjoy. Alpine Goat was such a welcome addition this year! The property is large and inviting, the staff was friendly and accommodating to our multi-generation family. The beer was great quality and refreshingly different than your typical American craft beer .... nice variety of European style beers, IPAs, even hard seltzer. They also had soda for those in our group who don't drink alcohol.

The lawn area had picnic tables in the shade on pavement, and Adirondack chairs around fire pits on the grass. There were lawn games for adults and a sandbox for kids. The seating inside was cool, quiet and comfortable if that's more your style.

We will definitely be back!

We happened on Oktoberfest here and it was so fun! They had a local chef making amazing, authentic German food (the literal best sauerkraut of my life) and the beers were excellent. The Hefeweizen is one of the best I've ever had. Beautiful spot, nice bartenders, interesting atmosphere of a converted horse barn.
