Great service. They are a down home comfort food type of restaurant in the middle of a small town. The food was delicious! I had the hamburger steak w/onions & mushroom gravy & mashed potatoes. Served hot & fresh. It's a small place w/a big heart! Plenty of parking & a not so overwhelming menu. Breakfast, lunch & dinner available. Friendly & priced right. My mom, myself & my daughter filled up for just $63. Check em out of ur ever heading down 460 in Windsor, VA!

Used to love this place.. Dont know if they changed cooks or what but they suck.. Constant call in order screw ups, hockey pucks for burgers after i told them not to over cook my burger, burger didnt even have cheese on it (which is standard).. Missing my mustard, also ordered double fries.. As you can see in the pick that is no where near a double order of fries.. I love to support local, but i also dont like getting ripped off..have given second chances, there is no third with me..After spending $66 for three meals and getting this, i will be eating elsewhere from now on..

The dinner choices were fantastic, my wife had the country fried steak and I had the chicken and BBQ pork platter. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Our family stopped on the way home from Virginia Beach to eat lunch...this place is a GEM! Friendly staff, great menu, fresh food and everything tasted amazing!

Terrible food- patties are thinner than a piece of paper, missing cheese on a cheeseburger, missing items all together, Coke Zero was most likely a mix of every syrup in the machine and the chocolate milkshake is basically frothed milk. I cannot warn people enough to stay as far away as possible from this wanna be restaurant. Save your money and time.

Checkers is a great little family restaurant in Windsor. They've been there for a very long time, many years. Everything they make is fresh, and if you ever want to get some great fried okra, that's the place to go. The ribeye steak is excellent too. They have so much more than what is on y'all's menu list. They have country fried steak, burgers, seafood and they run specials. Specials. You can look them up online and check out their menu.

Needs updating, food was average.

Have past this resurant a lot. Was opened and ate late lunch here. Oh my goodness, talk about fresh and comfort food, this cozy little resurant is the ?!!!!
❤️ the friendly customer service every time, freshness of food and very filling. Plan to try a lot more food from the menu. Tried their pie too, ? yummm.
