We have never been big wine drinkers but this wine is so good! I highly recommend the taste testing to determine what your favorite one is. Everyone was super nice and accommodating!

Awesome! Enjoyed ourselves and talking to Opie. She is very informative of the area and loves what she does. Wines were really good. When we are in the area we will return. Dogs are allowed on the patio. Thanks for a good time.

Opie, the wine steward is friendly, knowledgeable and a true historian of the homesteasd and winery. She provided us with everything we needed and more! We enjoyed our conversation with her and her perspective of the vineyard and products.

They carry products from other local businesses and clearly there is a community of businesses in this country area who support one another heartily.

The wines are absolutely amazing and the apple cider drink is the best I have ever drank! There’s not a hint of the vinegary flavor that most other ciders possess. It’s light and refreshing; most certainly a perfect cool drink on a hot summer day! It would also make a great warm drink used in recipes.

They boast a great selection of unique wines made from their very own grapes. One tastes like Welch’s grape soda and another just like Concord grape jelly!

They host a paint and sip once a month on a Saturday at 1pm, or by scheduled group appointment.

The space is conducive to building community and encouraging interaction and conversations . There is even a piano in the common space to really share your talent if you’re a so inclined musician.

I hope to return in September when they are harvesting grapes… I would love to make my own jam from their grapes!

This is a stop that is WELL worth adding to your trip, even if it’s a little off your beaten path.

O.P. Was amazing. She made us feel comfortable and engaged throughout our wine tasting . We stayed two hours and she kept us informed and laughing. Loved that she kept recommending local places for us to visit while in the area. Just what we needed.

My husband and I decided to give this place a try while out enjoying our 4 yr wedding anniversary. They had some wonderful sweet wines to choose from, and we purchased a few bottles to bring home with us . Glad we decided to stop in.

Traveling through the states we stopped here overnight with Harvest Hosts. Amazing wine and people. Enjoyed the conversations and hospitality

I love wine so when the husband said we are going to visit his family, I was on a mission to find a winery in the area!Well .. nestled between the mountains i discovered Mountainrose Vineyard ? It's one of the 3 South-Virginia wineries!Indoors they have a large area with tables and goodies, you can get cheeses n crackers n meats to snack on while tasting! Outside there is a front n back area, we sat outback n enjoyed the mountain breeze!Check out my photos n definitely stop by if you're in the area ☺️

Great environment and amazing wine, can't ask for anything better!! Opie was amazing! She let our 2 year old daughter play on the paino, while my husband and I sipped our delicious wine, and she absolutely loved it! We will definitely be back!
