My wife and I stopped by while staying in a little tinyhouse air bnb nearby, and the food here is amazing. I was so excited to see tamales as they are weirdly hard to come by where I am from. The atmosphere is like being at your friends aunts neighborhood taqueria - casual, friendly, and homey. Next time we come through this state we will be sure to grab food here again!

Got a special with meat, rice, and beans and the meat was warm at best, the rice was cold, and the beans were also just warm. The portion that was given to me was very small for $15.00 !! Didn't have $2.00 of food in carton.

Wonderful little place. I had a tengo mango aguas frescas and it was great!!! The size to price ratio was amazing. I paid 3.49 for about 30oz. We've been getting carry out here since they opened. The food is so fresh and flavorful you'd swear a little Mexican lady was slaving in the kitchen all day preparing her family favorites. Oh wait, that's Mary in the kitchen and she's a helluva cook. You won't find many places like this in Virginia so if you're passing through Woodstock and you want some real deal Mexican then look no further. Inside is small but can accommodate small groups. Orders usually take 20 minutes because each dish is prepared in real time. Everything on the menu is spot on authentic. No better Mexican within 50 miles.
