I used to frequent this establishment weekly. I haven't been in for a few months, and decided to stop in for a Saint Patrick's Day beer. One pint of Guinness later and my tab was $9.74. That's absolutely ricockulous! I will not patronize a local establishment that gouges locals like this.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spring House Tavern in Woodstock, Virginia, is an absolute gem! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Our server, Lauren, was beyond amazing—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The food? Pure perfection. The ribs were tender and full of flavor, the crab cake was divine, and the drunken salmon was simply scrumptious. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. I can't recommend this place enough—it's a must-visit for anyone looking for fantastic food and outstanding service. We'll definitely be back!
Disappointed. 2 Steaks were overcooked (specified rare and had to send back). Another was terribly tough! For the price we paid, won't be back!
Service was slow, the food was ok..

Had a great experience, picking this place as a stop mid trip. Ribs were amazing! Service and staff were great, even though it was a busy night.

Food: we both got burgers. The burgers were both somewhat just short of horrifying. The burgers had been “grilled” on what looked like a flat top griddle. There was blacked bits of grease or blood from the burger around the edges and each side of the burger was cooked into a semi-smooth surface resembling beef-colored blacktop; almost slippery with a porous texture. The one burger was described as “topped with ribeye steak”. I had briefly fantasized of freshly-grilled ribeye sliced thin garnishing the burger but this was not the case. I lifted the bun hopefully only to find some sad soggy gray pressed meat product adorned with a splatter of some white goo. Neither the meat product or the goo had much flavor so they were quickly tossed aside. The burger smelled quite good and even tasted more than ok but any hope of a true burger experience were burnt to death on that flat griddle along with that patty. The patty itself was quite generous in size and a grill grate in the kitchen would have given the burger the flavor and consistency to truly be top notch. Service was ok. Very friendly but not overly attentive on a quiet mid-week night. Atmosphere is ok. The “rustic” (some might say a bit dim and dingy) atmosphere is actually not unpleasant and could even be described as quaint but this atmosphere contrasts sharply with the prices on the menu. It may not be that the product is necessarily “overpriced” but it is certainly priced above what you receive overall, at least for the hamburgers we got that night. I’d be happy to try other offerings here as it is kind of a cool old looking spot with interesting local folks to make friends with at the bar but I won’t buy the ribeye burger again- that I can tell you.

I had people rave over this place. Atmosphere has cute, but I was freezing from lack of heat. The table in the same room was so loud it echoed and I couldn't hear the person i was sitting with. The food took a long time, and then the disappointment hit. The burger was dry and lacked any flavor. My club was ok, nothing to be excited about. The onion rings were great though?♀️

The food is absolutely delicious. During racing season it would be nice if they could hire extra seasonal help but the servers do their best
Parking: When busy the parking lot is full and may have to park on street a few blocks away but a nice stroll

Weird joint. I settled in at the bar today for a chicken sandwich, Pinot Noir, and the chance to watch the Womens' Doubles championship at the Open. I was treated instead to a screaming match between two employees in the kitchen/dish room. I lost my appetite right away, and wished I'd lost my lunch, too. Amateur Hour all around--avoid this hole-in-wall unless you want to be reminded of a bad childhood or marriage. If you want to relive the experiences that the employees who have yet to learn how to manage their emotions maturely, then this is your place. I'd much recommend heating a tin of Vienna sausages over Sterno in the parking lot.
Dietary restrictions: Stick with the probably-canned cole slaw.
