Who doesn't like ice cream at the beach😊

Mark Young

Ice cream was really good, the service from the teenagers working there, was good. However the outdoor seating could really use a good cleaning. Tables/chairs and patio could use a monthly pressure washing. And no I don’t own a pressure washing business. Also tried calling earlier to see if still open no answer. We road our bikes there and tried calling from inside and I guess they turned the phones off, couldn’t hear it, and no one answered it while we were standing in line. Again service and ice cream was good.

I always appreciate the attention to detail for a customer with a peanut allergy. While the risk is never zero, the Yorktown location stands out for their customer service. Thank you!

Catered my June 2025 wedding, and Danny was absolutely amazing to work with. He was so flexible during the entire process. The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly, and everyone loved getting ice cream on a hot night!

During our visit, my family spent over $200, only to be met with unpleasant attitudes from the staff when we asked for a cup of water for my thirsty 12-year-old daughter on a hot sunny afternoon. In my opinion, this experience exemplifies horrible customer service, which I believe deserves a strongly negative review due to the employees' rudeness and lack of tolerance and respect.

Had an amazing experience! Vibes and energy was immaculate, our kids favorite part of the day was getting ice-cream even after a tour of yorktown. The four ladies were fantastic, our main person was Emily and the kids all loved her and her smiles. Thank you Emily. Great job Yorktown Ben and Jerry’s! Price of course was. bit much but can’t complain since we were expecting to spend some anyway

The ice cream is always good at Ben & Jerry’s but the true flavour comes from the customer service. My family and I are visiting from out of the country and being met with attitude for asking for water was not on the itinerary. If we needed to pay for water, sure, but to give off attitude for even asking? The ice cream definitely went sour after that.

we came to this ben and jerry’s with a big group of our family—excited, hungry, and ready to treat ourselves. we spent over $100 on ice cream. you’d think that’d come with a little kindness??

i asked for a small cup of tap water, and they gave it to me without issue. later, i politely came back for a refill. one employee turned to ask her coworker, and the girl with braces loudly scoffed, “again??”—like i was being a nuisance for needing another sip of water.

she then told me condescendingly “we’re not supposed to give out water like you’re supposed to buy the bottled one” …i stood there stunned. it’s tap water. from the sink. in a plastic cup they had stacks of. this wasn’t about a policy.. it was about attitude

to make it worse, my aunt—who hadn’t heard any of this—went up a few seconds after and politely asked for water. a worker gave her a dirty look and walked away without saying a word.

she was blatantly dismissed for asking a simple question.

this wasn’t just bad service. it was rude, embarrassing, and totally unnecessary. we weren’t asking for anything unreasonable—we were just trying to stay hydrated on a hot day after spending good money.

if basic courtesy is too much to ask at this location, then to be honest it’s not really a ben and jerry’s after all

Typical overpriced ice cream place. My wife and I both did not finish ours because it instantly melted and dripped through the cones. Staff was friendly but unenthusiastic.

Blonde kid has a straight attitude… how do you ruin a milkshake? Train the staff… this cannot be a difficult summer job…right?

Reply: Bobby… thank you for the offer but I think you missed the issue here.

This Ben and Jerry’s is going downhill. The staff are struggling and I believe it’s because they are too busy talking about the customers. Disappointed… we will not return.

Three of our big kids and I came in off the beach while my husband stayed outside with the two youngest and the dog. We were looking forward to a quick treat, but the experience was pretty disappointing. The shop felt chaotic and disorganized, and none of the employees seemed confident or clear on what they were doing. It was hard to tell who was in charge or what the process was supposed to be.

We ordered single scoops in waffle cones, but the portions were really skimpy — barely a full scoop — and there wasn’t much care put into it. The cones themselves were soft, not the crisp, freshly made kind you expect at a place like this. For how much it cost, I expected a better experience. We love Ben & Jerry’s in general, but this location didn’t live up to the brand.
