I got the El Guadalajara. Oh my god, no. Tamale was awful. Taquitos were awful. Just no.

I ordered beef taco and beef burrito with rice. The beef was ground very fine and quite mushy. The rice seemed to be white rice that was overcooked or old, which i didn't eat. However, the Texas Margarita was good. I would like to try something other than ground beef next time. Maybe Fajitas. We'll see how they do with those next visit.

We've been loyal customers since we moved to the area in 1999, and Cinco has always been our go-to Mexican restaurant - great, fresh food, lightening-fast service, and overall excellence. This was our first visit in several years (life....) and I was disappointed for the first time ever. It took a good 10 minutes to get menus, chips, & salsa to the table, and a further 10 minutes for drinks to arrive. After placing our food order, we waited approximately 20 minutes till it was delivered. I ordered my usual favorite of carnitas tacos - instead of the smooth, unctuous flavor of the braised, tender pork, it was overpowered by cumin and tougher than I expected. The others at the table were also a bit underwhelmed by their choices. The place itself has incorporated some beautiful updates - tables, chairs, menus, decor, etc. But it wasn't the warm establishment I fell in love with 20+ years ago. It's possible they were having an off night right after Christmas, everyone does at one time or another. I'll definitely give them another try in a few weeks and post an update.

Overall, not a bad place. Nothing really stood out about my order. I ordered Birria Tacos w/ Mexican rice, and chips with queso sauce and Jarritos pineapple soda for 29 bucks after tax. As a Los Angeles native, I have yet to find a Mexican Restaurant in the state of Virginia that could compare to any of the ones back home.

Birria tacos score: 2
it didnt have much flavor, the cheese was almost non existent, and the coloring of the shell didnt have the the appareance that it was even dipped, 0 toppings inside the taco. However, the meat was cooked good, but hardly any flavor to the meat.

Mexican rice score: 2
Very bland, and 0 flavor at all. I guess because its in york county, the default flavor meter is set to bland.

Chips and Queso score 3:
Housemade chips are always a dub in my book. However they could use a little salt on them. The Queso was okay, my problem is that it was very running, and it definitely isnt housemade Queso!

Service Score 3: I paid for the order, they said order will be ready in about 15 minutes, it came out in less than 5 minutes.

Overall if I wasnt from California, and havent tasted top tier Mexican foods, I would say this is great. But given my extensive experience of Mexican cuisine in my home state. Its just average. Also $29 for the stuff I had wasnt worth it.

Amazing. Very clean. Food was delicious. The waiter seemed like he didn't want to be there, but after my husband loved his meal so much that he ordered a second round of his dinner he started smiling and laughing. We went early on a Sunday for lunch.

Stopped in for lunch with a buddy busy but tables were available so no wait. Music was upbeat and server was prompt to greet us offering beverages. And the bar was amazingly quick in making the drinks, the server was back in s flash. We ordered and even though the place was quite full our plates were in front of us in 10 minutes. Great service. Refills on the drinks who could say no to a second. Even with the quick service at no time did we feel rushed. It was pleasant and the service great. Food super fresh and hot. And tasted authentic definitely not out of the can or box. Will definitely return.

The food was just meh. $20 for a few pieces of steak inside a tortilla, come on. The customer service was just awful. It took 34 minutes just to order the food! The staff were very short and snippy, not warm and welcoming at all. The atmosphere was overwhelmingly loud. The music was blasting out of the speaker like a night club, we couldn't hear ourselves over it. When asked if they could turn it down, we were relieved when it got quiet, but within a minute it was back on and even louder! We will not be returning.

We had a hard time explaining what we wanted because it seems like most of the employees don't speak English. Food was very good...
