It looks like this place was sold off and is changing to a different restaurant. I'll always miss the staff here, hopefully they got transferred to the other locations.

So around the beginning of Sept, I ordered a single slice of cheese pizza and a cheese and banana peppers pizza through the app Slice for delivery. The guy delivers my food and when I opened it it was a large supreme pizza. Total opposite of what I ordered. I called the restaurant and no one picked up. I called the Gus in Hampton and I was told that his brother owns the location in Yorktown and he would give me a calm back the next day. Here it is 9-13 and still nothing. I ended going to the Yorktown location the same night to see if I could speak to someone face to face. I arrived at 830pm and they were closed when it says they close at 9pm. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

Let me start by saying... I read the reviews and I AM SO GLAD that I did not let the reviews from 2 plus years ago make me not want to try this hidden gem out. 1. Service was on point. Very nice and helpful with everything. 2. The atmosphere was very laid back. Very and I seriously mean VERY Clean and well designed. 3. The food. So the pizza was very good. Fresh vegetables and the crust and sauce was very well crafted. The salads crisp and fresh as well. If you want a good meal, good atmosphere, clean environment, and friendly staff not to mention a short wait on made to order food I HIGHLY recommend this spot. Yes read the reviews BUT don't be fooled by years ago. This place is a staple in the community for providing a local pizza shop that delivers a excellent product, with quality ingredients, at an affordable price. Thanks Gus.

Internet and outlet access. Friendly staff and accommodating to park it and study a few hours. Food is always great.

I totally forgot to take a picture but it was so tasty!!! Ordered a large supreme pizza no mushrooms and the crust was on point. Also got a cheese calzone with meatballs....so delicious especially with the chunky marinara. Customer service was on point and the young girl who took my to-go order was so sweet and helped me choose what to get because it was first time. All in all my family and I are quite pleased

I’ve been a regular at Gus’s for years. But recently when I came there was a lot of arguing in the back, a young lady mikayla handled things well although the arguing made orders slow, I was upset about the arguing yet impressed by her customer service. I wasn’t going to mention it before but when I came back days later there was another incident where a small frail young lady was sweeping my feet as if I wasn’t in her sight, with nothing as little as an apology. As I said I’ve been a regular but these incidents just about did it for me.

The one in Yorktown doesn't know how to answer the phone. We ordered on Uber eats we've been wait for an hour and a half paid close to $30 and they keep pushing the time back and they are about to close and we can't get a hold of them.

This place never disappoints! I live in North Carolina and it's a must have every time I visit the Newport News and Hampton Area. My favorite dish is the grilled chicken Caesar salad!!!! Their burgers, wings, and gyros are great as well.

This is the best hidden secret in Newport News..The pizza is superb and hand crafted daily..Everything is made fresh and you can tell when you take a bite of the pizzaVegetarian options: Since this is a pizza place you can choose to get a veggie pizza.

As a contingent worker I deliver from all kinds of places some good, some ratchet as hell . This place is on time. Never heard a complaint from a customer and their service is on time and the food is delicious! Give them a try.

Well I ordered from what I thought was a new calzone restaurant called Brooklyn Calzone and it turns out it’s just Gus’s pizza, using a different name for the same sub par product. I paid $11.99 for a salad that wasn’t even large enough to feed one person and a calzone with no ricotta cheese and unmelted mozzarella. I had to pay extra for the few ounces of marinara and thank god I did because I might have choked on the dry burnt material acting as crust.

Had an online order that was supposed to be for the 6500 location in York town near the Harley Davidson store. System screwed up so System sent it to this location. Was probably 20mins late or so to pick the food up. Place looked depressing. Dark. No music. No sound on the TVs. Got back with the food as it was a carry out order. They forgot salad dressing on 2 orders and ranch for the 3rd order. Also first time visiting this location and will not be back.

Do yourself a favor and eat in or pick up if you plan on choosing them. Their prices on UE under at least 3 different names are all absurd. Rancher's sub 10.99 is 21$ on UE. Rooftop Sandwiches, The Wing Shack, Francesco Pasta Restaurante, The Craft Pizza.... sheesh, just sell it all under your own name and stop screwing customers limited to delivery platforms.

Had Caesar chicken wrap, fries, two slices of cheese pizza. Who in the hell bakes a wrap that has salad in it? Who wants hot lettuce? Also, the cheese pizza slices were just not very good. Beer was cold, fries were good, and staff was friendly. However, I won't be back.
