I have mixed feelings about this place. Although the fried pork was good the mofongo wasn't the best. It had a strong sour taste and the sauce used wasn't the typical way I would have it. Would I go back? I doubt it...
Came for lunch with hubby, had the fried picadera with chicharon, fried cheese, tostones, batata, chicken salami, yummy
Went here for the first time and loved it! The food was delicious, I had an empanada appetizer and the shrimp mofongo, and I will definitely be back again. They have a mystery dish, where you pick a price and a spice level and they make something for you, and I'm definitely trying that next time. Our server was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and the ambience was really pleasant.
The pork shoulder was seasoned perfectly! Very impressed with all of the options here and look forward to trying the rest of the menu when I get the chance.
Delightful lunch, we had the mystery dish. We had cheese Empanadas. The chef prepared La Bandera, and Patacon both were very good.
Gracious unbelievable bad service and burnt food. See pictures. The prices are totally outrageous for the portion. You are going out to eat expect to pay high prices....FOR GOOD FOOD. And I would gladly pay. Add to this awful service by a young lady that would not help us and there's no one (well one more couple) in the restaurant that is what is just crazy. No no do not recommend.
Finally! Authentic Latin cuisine on the Peninsula. Paella was off the hook great! Loved the ambience...felt like we were back in south Florida.
This place is a hidden gem! First time here. There were a few other diners when we got in and seated. We were served quickly and the food was hot and fresh. The portions were more than adequate, and everything tasted great! We will definitely be back.
Okay, this place has some seriously amazing food! They have a mystery plate, which lets you choose your price and if you let them know your spicy level and any dislikes, mine is avocados, they bring out a plate of deliciousness that you never knew you needed! The service was very attentive and the restaurant was very clean. I think I may have found my new favorite restaurant!
Welcome to your new favorite Dominican restaurant in the 757, right here in Yorktown. We started off with the Chicharron ( JESUS, that was good). My fiance and I were interested in coming since he loves mafungo. But he saw the Chicharron on the menu and insisted on us going. They had a very authentic menu, inviting and polite staff, and the food was phenomenal. We had enough to to take home and enjoy the next day. We had the classic margarita and coconut mojito. Both very fresh tasting and the coconut wasn't overbearing. Absolutely coming back. 12/10, would absolutely recommend ??

I ordered the mufungo with side of pork shoulder in garlic sauce. It was pretty good my only critique was the shoulder was a tab under seasoned and a little over cooked but nothing to cry about it still was good. That mufungo though... it was juicy and delicious. The pork belly was made pefectly ? i will definitely be back for that
Excellent to taste ?? Food. Good place and comfortable. Good music
Delicious food great service! We ate and this is desert rich chocolate and good coffee.
Have visited many Latin cuisine and by far I thought this would be up to my standards but unfortunately didn’t come close sorry guys try harder
This is a very nice restaurant, clean but simple decor. The food was well prepared and very good. And the service was friendly, with food served promptly. However, it is very pricey and the choices are limited to expensive or very expensive items. Additionally, we found that they had several things on the menu that were not available.... like bistek and Modelo beer... what I'd recommend to management/owners is to remove the lobster from some of the dishes to make it more affordable... also, the drinks are extremely expensive... maybe review your selection just to bring down the price point... I think it will make you competitive with other restaurants in the area and maybe advertise, so folks know you are there..... but do not change your servers because they are very nice, patient and efficient.
