My family and I checked in late 8pm the owner was aware of the 2 small dogs and 3 children, he immediately starting getting controlling by saying we could only park 1 car at site other in guest service. He even followed me to the site to make sure he approved the way I backed my camper in. The following day we where asked to leave after the children asked to go swimming in the pool that is on-site for swimming, the owner said no not for 2hrs for.chemical reasons, he never even added chemicals to the pool, we again asked 3 hrs later that is when he voiced an issue, they don't want children or dogs there or woman prefer just say men said we couldn't have a small fire in fire pit, and he would feel better if we just left. I was in shock, the dogs and children were quiet we were not disturbing others but regardless we packed up and left only to find an amazing and better campground.
Honestly the worst camp ground i have ever been to it is beautiful and very well kept but got kicked out for having kids and a dog and was very very rude , will never go back also another couple the same day was kicked out for having kids as well and another for having g a German shepherd, limehusrt campground is down the road , irs cheaper and way more beautiful on a bigger pond and the owners are so very friendly and accommodating
First of all campground is nice clean quiet, but the owner is a little persnickety about his pool that he said we had to ask permission to use and he would unlock it other than that just not friendly at all
Someone i know stayed here and all the owner cared about was money. As soon as someone came in he instantly wanted money for visitors. Nothing for kids to do. Had a pool there but couldnt get the chemicals right to be able use it.
Like the area and campground, one staff member was very friendly and helpful, the other not so much. Nice and quiet.
Beautiful grounds, spacious sites!! Loved it❤️

My sister and I drove from Texas to Vermont to enjoy autumn in New England. Our Vermont stay was here at Lazy Lions. Our site was magnificent. The campground was decorated for fall. The bathrooms were clean and everyone was friendly. I didn't need to use the showers since my Casita has one. I recommend Lazy Lions to anyone heading this way.
Nearby activities: Barre is centrally located so we could almost anywhere in Vermont for a day excursion.

Nice quiet campground to relax and enjoy Vermont. They have many accents to the campground that makes it special. We would definitely stay there again.

We were in the area earlier than expected due to no good place to stop with the camper on the way from our previous campground. First thing the grouchy guy said is you’re early. Then got charged $10 extra for the hour. Campground roads are horrendous. Was very quiet though

Very unfriendly and not helpful at all. Drove all the way from Phoenix and told to leave as he considered our mix German shepherd a aggressive dog. Suggest he list the animal breeds so clear up any confusion. Then he tells us we need to read the web site better. What a jerk. A ZERO rating. Made one phone call to the RV site down the road and was told to come right over. Limehurst Lake Campground down the road was friendly and very helpful.
The campground is clean, Quiet and the owner is always available if a question arises.

Lazy Lions was our Vt stop during a 3 week trip doing New York and New England. Not knowing the area I picked it for a central location to things I planned on doing. That worked out well. Things we did… Rock of Ages, Ben and Jerry’s, Stowe Gondola, Cider Mill, Morse Maple syrup, and the Cabot store. There is a bike path near that we would have liked to ride but ran out of time.
The campground was clean, peaceful, landscaped nicely. They accommodate every type of camper, tent, even had cabins. If in the area would definitely stay again.
