Best sandwich in VT. Get the roast beef. You won't be disappointed. The vibe here. The culture. The food. The energy. It's Vermont. I love these people, and I love their deli. Thanks for always making my day when I bite into your sandwiches!!!
This was the first time I ordered from them and I won’t be doing it again. I understand that prices for everything have gone up, but $15 for the turkey sandwich I got was not worth it. There was not even a full serving of turkey on the sandwich (which is 3oz) and there was one piece of cheese that didn’t even cover the whole thing. I also ordered online and asked for no onions, and there was onions in my sandwich, and everyone who is anti raw onions knows that even if you pick them off the sandwich still has an onion taste.
Also, ordering online says it’s supposed to be free, but they charged me a service charge. I’m not 100% sure if that was for online ordering through Square, but asking me to tip on top of that is insane.
The food itself tastes good, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1. But again, not worth the price for a sandwich that was mostly lettuce and bread.
This was hands down, the best sandwich I’ve ever had. They know how to do it here!
My first time there & I will return to try all of the sandwiches. I had the Granite City. Very tasty & just big enough to eat the whole sandwich ❤️❤️❤️
I love Morse Block Deli! The creativity is off the charts, and the quality is top-notch. It's a great spot for breakfast and lunch, dine-in or takeout.
I finally got to check this deli out. I appreciate the kind and welcoming service. Good selection of beverages and unique delicious thoughtful dish and bites options. The food was fresh and had great savory taste. I could tell my breakfast sandwich was made with love. I like the feeling here. Great spot.
We stopped in here to get some sandwiches after hiking in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwiches and the option of gluten free bread. I am gluten free by preference and have tried all kinds of gf bread and the one they used at Morse was top notch. The manager, Crystal was working super hard and was extremely friendly too. I got the turkey club which was delish and my boyfriend got the reuben which he loved as well. Would totally come back if I'm ever in Barre, VT! So yummy
Very rare in New England, Morse Block is a business that understands the art of culinary alchemy. The history of great culinary discovery and tradition is exemplified by these fantastic artisans. Vermont needs more Morse Block.

Food is good, but seats are limited. Service is a bit chaotic but done with a smile. Will certainly go back.

I was disappointed to see they do not also have a Sudanese flag
Morse Block catered both my rehearsal dinner and wedding meal. First and foremost, the food was exceptional! The team went above and beyond to make sure flavors were complementary and appetizing. Let's be honest, sometimes wedding meals can be a little dull, but that was NOT the case here! Many of our guests told us the food was amazing.
And now let's talk about the fantastic service. The Morse Block team was organized with all of our logistics prior and during events. The team that prepped and served the meals were just phenomenal. Guys, it was HOT not one but both days during my wedding weekend. I know it hurt, but our caterers did not show it. They were professional, personable, and just all around pleasant to be around.
Highly recommend using them for their next event!
Dietary restrictions: We had a guest with Celiac’s and the MBD was able to accommodate their food needs

Our two sandwiches were very good and the place had a nice vibe. The surprise came after leaving and I reviewed my bill. In addition to the cost of sandwiches there were these three charges:
- Barre Local Option (1%)
- Hospitality Surcharge (5%)
- VT Meals and Rooms (9%)
There was no mention to me that they had added a 5% surcharge for the restaurant.
I also tipped them 15%. And that 15% was calculated not on the cost of the two sandwiches but on the sandwiches PLUS the two taxes and "hospitality surcharge".

Just passing through town and grabbed a chef salad. I was thinking $16 sounded a little high until I opened the container and took my first bite. Now I wish I bought two! That bacon is serious crack OMG Where do you get it? Melts in your mouth perfectly done and crunchy. All very fresh yummy ingredients. Only wish I lived closer

I've lived in Barre for 7 years and have never tried this place until today. I ordered the Italian and it was one of the best I've had! I will definitely be back!
