The Meltdown Grilled Cheese and Tap Room

The food was awesome! The staff even more so. Thanks Rick for prompt friendly service and helping with allergies. Diane, you are a rock star! You made me feel cared for, and helped me choose foods that accommodated my allergies. One of our family is a former chef. It takes a lot to impress him, and he truly loved the food. From the poutine, to the sandwiches, to the French onion soup, and garden salad, and don't forget dessert. Our daughter brought back an incredible looking piece of mixed berry cheesecake.

Eating at the Meltdown was easily one of the best experiences I've ever had going out to eat. They did everything right. The food was outstanding, great flavor and presentation, and I left stuffed! On top of the amazing food, the staff went so far above and beyond, it restored my faith in humanity. I could feel their passion and dedication in every interaction. We had multiple allergies at the table and they went so far out of their way to accommodate, I almost can't believe it. As soon as you walk in you feel like part of their family. I couldn't recommend the Meltdown enough to anyone and everyone. Absolutely will go again, 10/10.

The food is incredible, and that along with great local beer options, the friendliest atmosphere, and the way the owner and staff engage with each other tells you how great of a culture it is to be there! I will go back time and time again! Truly a hidden gem in Barre that I don’t think anyone (including myself) visit nearly enough! This place is my FAVORITE; and I can’t wait to sit outside on their beautiful deck many times this spring/summer! Thanks to Diane and the wonderful staff for all you do!

We have had the Fig and Apple, the Margherita and the Ricotta Spinach....delicious, so incredibly good.

Where the staff is Super polite and the owner visits your table.

The cleanest restaurant I think I've ever been to as well. Just well cared for all around.

The Meltdown is by far the top pick of the area. My family comes here often knowing the food, service, atmosphere and cleanliness is top notch during every visit. Every meal on the menu is not only fantastic from the homemade touch but HUGE. To top it off, Donna's homemade cheesecakes are to die for. Lots of love goes into every aspect of this business and it absolutely shows.

Great food, great service, and the owner personally checking in on each table really sets them apart. You can tell they really care about their patrons. Also love taking my dog here as it’s one of the few places in town that allows dogs on the patio!

The food is always excellent, and very filling. Tonight we had this week's special the Chicken Queso and it was beyond delicious and more than any of us could finish. The staff was - and usually is - very friendly and professional. Food is prepared quickly and the atmosphere is family friendly and very clean! If you're looking for a great eat , add the Meltdown as a stop on your way through the area!

(Forgot to fill this out) Amazing food, great drinks, and perfect staff! The menu is a bit carb heavy but its a grilled cheese restaurant, what else can you do! (Edit: I'll add some pictures next time I visit.)
