Have had a great experience each time I have dined at the Carriage House Cafe and Grill. Friendly staff, great food, and good portion size. There are many yummy selections on the menu, but my favorite is the seafood chowder. Only place I like it from. When ordering food I always leave with a doggy bag. Inside decor is cosy as well. One of my favorite places to eat.
Very good. Will be going there again

Me and my wife were up in the area for work. We came across the carriage house for breakfast. Omg this place is amazing!!! We are from Massachusetts and go out to breakfast quite frequently. I am a little bit of a breakfast fanatic. This place was hands-down the best breakfast that I’ve ever had. The staff was amazing. The kitchen was quick and food was prepared perfectly. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area!!!!

My fiancée and I went here on date night while we were up in VT for the weekend. Got a lot to say, buckle in.
First, my fiancée ordered a bacon burger with no cheese (she doesn’t like cheese, NBD). Server brought her a bacon cheeseburger which we sent back. This happens frequently enough that it’s usually not an issue, but the server got kinda judgy (asked if she was lactose intolerant). Like, it’s not your business? She just doesn’t like cheese and it’s not what she ordered, who cares why.
THEN, I ordered steak tips medium rare w/ mashed potatoes for $28 (lil expensive but I wanted to treat myself). When I got my food, I instantly recognized the taste of unseasoned, boxed mashed potatoes with a side of undercooked, kind of sweet meat. Honestly, I would have been fine with them serving boxed mashed potatoes if they tasted like anything, but I had to add a ton of salt which was disappointing. I also sent the beef back, and they just microwaved it to well done just to bring it up to temp. Gordon Ramsay himself would have been proud (not).
Not a great experience, go elsewhere.
(Also worth mentioning that some of the other reviews are pointing out a bit of “special treatment” to certain colored peoples, just saying.)

It was a Sunday morning, very busy. It did take some time to get served but understandable based on how busy they were. Food was hot and very good. Server was very nice and friendly. Plenty of parking. Will definitely eat there again.

Great spot for lunch! Had a reuben that was as close to perfect as I've ever had. Rye was perfectly toasted, perfect ratio of meat/cheese/sauerkraut. Absolutely delicious. My wife had a BLT that was also outstanding. Great fries, onion rings, and beer. Friendly service, great menu, really nice atmosphere. Definitely worth the trip
