We stopped for a quick lunch and to walk through the store. The food was great! We ordered a burger and clam chowder and both were great and reasonably priced too.

Made a special trip to the dairy bar, who by the way does a great job with ice cream. Fully understand that staff is short, menu's are clearly identified as a special short menu for Tuesday Wedsnesdays, ok, went with item for the kids (hot dogs) and was told we actually aren't doing those. Told by a teen who couldn't stop laughing and clearly didn't have the skill set to write a small sign or cover yet hot dog on the outside menu when suggested. Eye rolls, not helpful, no initiative to help the next person. Waste of time, had to drive back to Chester to feed the kids, then back track to finish our trip. Other to go items all contain adultsish toppings, nothing kid friendly on the grab and go days save for, you guessed it, ice cream. For the love of Pete, a hot dog can be warmed in a microwave, even my 7 year old can do that at home without supervision. Disappointed.

We rolled in at 5:10 on a Friday in the middle Of summer to find the Dairy Bar closed. There were several other people discovering the same disappointing news as us.How can an ice cream bar close At 5pm?!?!

it's easy to stop at the vermont country store. this is very near rt 91 and it's a great place to visit.

You order your food either from the outside window or inside. They give you a beeper so you know when it's ready. Simple menu, burgers, dogs, chicken tenders, etc. If you do not take it to go, they have only outside seating. It was okay for a quick lunch. I ate there 3 or 4 times

The best chocolate vanilla twist this side of the Rockies! The Maple Vanilla twist is nice too but the chocolate vanilla twist is AMAZING! Went twice in one day it was so good!
Shopping at the Vermont Country Store always makes me hungry [even after grazing on all the samples they have]. A stop at Mildred's always winds up with a satisfying meal. On the enclosed porch in cold weather or at a picnic table when it warms up.

Stopped by on my foliage road trip to have a maple creemie. So good! You can't get these in NH. They had about a half-dozen flavors, but the maple is the best (it's Vermont!).
