Such a great experience compared to the tourist trap orchards that have become so common. Staff was very friendly, prices were great and the apple selection is the best I have ever seen. Crimson topaz is our new favorite!

Cobble Knoll Orchards is a fantastic apple orchard with extensive labeling and easy to follow mapping of the current ripe apples. We picked Mia and Zestar last week (which we never heard of). The Mia are great for eating- just right. I’ve been making applesauce with a mix of apples for 45 years and to my surprise using the stand alone Zestar was one of my best tasting batches!!! Lesson learned- don’t be afraid to try new varieties.

If you want to pick apples in SW Vermont or near Lake George, we recommend Cobble Knoll. They have a large variety of apples. So no matter when in the season you visit they will have apples to pick. We picked 5 bags of multiple varieties in a few minutes in August! Made apple pie at home. So good with fresh apples. Their donuts and cider are also very tasty.

This place is great. I couldn’t count all the different types of apples you could pick. The views while picking is beautiful. Now if you like apple cider, this is the holy grail of apple cider. I’ve had apple cider from all over but this place is the best. I have actually thought of driving the 275 mile one way trip to pick up more to bring home. It’s that good. I will be back.

Had a wonderful time at the family orchard! There is a wide variety of apples to pick from as well as baked goods and hard cider! The view at the top is incredible. We tried “Wild Child” cider and loved that it wasn’t too sweet.
