This unique gas station is also a Official Vermont State Travel Center. It used to be an excellent stop right off from the Interstate in Central Vermont; cross roads for all travelers of various destinations and purposes to get a bite to eat, use the bathrooms, stretch, rest up, etc. Overall, a great representation and welcome to Vermont. Now with the ownership change it's noticeably different. Dirty outside and inside, dirty bathrooms, deli and the pre-made food isn't good anymore, and there is a severe lack of hired staff available to take care of the aforementioned. I think the ownership needs to read the recent poor reviews and remedy the situation. This place is currently a poor reflection of what it used to be and should be.

For an Irving station it's sad to see this place a Shell of it's former self. The food has declined dramatically here. Ordered the jumbo popcorn chicken. Could tell after the first few that the fryer grease hadn't been changed in quite some time. Nasty, greasy, bitter taste. Something they would have not allowed before the change over. "Cashiers" are more rude than ever. Facilities are dirty more often than not. Just can't believe it's changed so much for the worse.

Since being taken over from Maplewood's, whom I'd give 5 stars, this location has gone down hill. Dirty outside. Entrance door glass is a petri dish of filth. Handicap door button hasn't worked for months. Coffee is hit or miss. Restrooms use to be clean but now not so much. Water at sinks has been turned to a trickle so good luck washing your hands. Got rid of roller dogs. Rest of food way overpriced for the quality. One employee behind the self serve checkout ( often on their phone). Old owners always had plenty of help milling about. Cleaning, making coffee, keeping the place looking good to represent VT, as a travel center.

Do not like that is all self serve now and the clerk that was there was pretty rude, just standing and eating.

What makes this a deli? It's a bad Kwik e Mart, there is nothing to eat here except for packaged junk food. They don't even have fresh donuts, and all they have for sandwiches are wraps.Unfortunately this is the only thing next to the Berlin Supercharger aside from a Comfort Inn which is your best choice for a bathroom.

Berlin Maplefields kinda went downhill when they changed things up. I stop there once to twice a day to grab food and drinks. The food was definitely better b4 prime example is the chicken tenders were not processed meat now they are plus they didn't get any cheaper with a cheaper product.
