Are you looking for a proper diner with friendly down home people and great food and coffee? You’ve found it. We drive down from Canada to watch our nephew play hockey (Go Spartans) 3 times a year and we Never miss an opportunity to go to The Diner! In fact we’re going there this morning.

Great diner right off the highway for a quick bite. Great food, large portions, excellent service, reasonably priced. Will definitely be stopping here on my runs to Rutland from NY.

Took my family here for the first time this morning and will definitely be regular customers. The food was outstanding, the service was great, very reasonable prices and the place is cozy and clean. The breakfast burrito is out of this world as well as the home fries. Everything tasted so fresh from the eggs to the bread. Can’t wait to go back.

With visitors from Long Island in tow, we dined at the Taproom at Lake Bomoseem Lodge. We were seated in the upstairs dining area which we knew would be less boisterous than the bar area. Visitors were happy with the seasonal mixed drinks and the dining selections chosen: Meatloaf, Brisket and Pulled Pork sandwiches, Salmon, and large salads. All was voted on as being very good with adequate sized portions. Only comment of criticism was that the sourdough bread for the pulled pork didn't seem to be authentic. Service by C-C was excellent! We will be back for more yummy dinners.

Excellent place for breakfast, with unique specials that will surprise you, like pumpkin pancakes, gourmet omelettes, and an occasional special served in a skillet. Service is incredibly attentive, friendly, and always smiling. My new breakfast go-to near Lake

We had a reservation and were seated promptly. That is where the reasonable service ended. We waited a long time for a server to come to the table. A runner brought our food, but no utensils. The server never came back to check on us, see if our food was okay, or offer drink refills. She avoided attempts to get her attention. In addition, two of the meals were inedible due to taste. A third meal was not possible to eat due to no fork. All in all, a terrible experience. We live in the area and will definitely never return.

Awesome place to grab breakfast and lunch. Great food, awesome staff and reasonable prices. Get a large meal without the large price.

It sounded fun to have live music but it was so loud it was impossible to carry a conversation. The waitress was pleasant but orders were not correct on drinks or dinner. The view was beautiful though.

We've visited many times before and this experience was memorable but not for the reasons one would hope for. Our waitress started off very strong but once our food came, she never returned to check on us. We could have used additional drinks. As we were almost done with our meal the smell of raw sewage overwhelmed us. It was atrocious and ruined the rest of the evening. We couldn't get out of there fast enough.

We haven't been to the Tap Room/Lodge for dinner in some time but were very pleased with the meal and the service. Hunter and Bella were terrific and our food was delivered quickly, was very delicious and hot!

As a local, I dine often at the Bomoseen Lodge! I would normally rate it as excellent. Unfortunately the management is having a very difficult time separating it's wedding business from its restaurant responsibilities. We were seated in a room where a wedding rehearsal dinner was being held. Naturally, this group was loud and in celebration mode, as they should be. There was a buffet set up for the wedding party which numbered in the 20's. Several other tables held patrons who were also acquaintances of the main group. Many yelling across the room and other customers tables. The waitress came to our table quickly and took drink orders and eventually meal and app orders but it was obvious she was having a difficult time hearing. Our main courses came out in shifts so that half of the table was left without food. One of us was left completely without food. When questioned they stated they were sorry and took the dish off of our check. We had to actually go into the kitchen to find out that it was never prepared. We have always made reservations to dine and we are usually very happy with the Lodge's service, food, and atmosphere. Unfortunately we will not return until after the chaos of summer and wedding season has passed.
