I loved it. The place felt warm and welcoming, the music played was calming and friendly, and the two cooks were very attentive to my order. I very much enjoyed my breakfast, and I think I'll come here for it from now on.

Place was great! Love how you you can customize your sandwich. I got one with in house roasted turkey and thought it was a very good sandwhich! My wife got the “red onion “ and loved it

I had been excited to try this spot. Looks inviting from the road.
Lady at the register was unwelcoming and rude.
My wife ordered soup (was good she reports) but lady refused to allow a substitute for the bread with an abrupt “no”.
While I was on my 10 minute time out for a 5 minute sandwich the cook decided to feed bacon to a regulars dogs with his bare hand and later wipe on his apron.
As I waited another 10 mins my wife was treated rudely and later the rude lady gave me me sandwich while rudely dumping it off in front of me.
All I can say is don’t. Rueben was 20 minutes, served cold with very little meat. It was mostly garnish.
Good luck. People expect value for their money.

I mean, if you order the Reuben sandwich at this restaurant be aware that it is completely filled with sauerkraut and very little amount of actual meat in it. Paying that much money for a sandwich and being given so little is not worth it. Always wanted to try this café but I’ll probably not go back since there is way better options out there for your money. Disappointing because I’ve heard really good things about this place and was left on my appetite.

I loved Red Onion from its days on Church street. The actual sandwich named the "Red Onion" is incredible. I have eater here 50 times and it is the only thing I have ever eaten and it is a 10 out of 10. The new location is a ways outside of Burlington in Charlotte, VT, but the Red Onion sandwich is worth the drive.

This is a charming restaurant in a picturesque region in Vermont. it is like a café with a variety of sandwiches. All ingredients are fresh and virtually. Everything is made on the premises. Many local people frequent this café. Take out business may dominate, but there are tables to sit. We had chicken salad sandwiches, which were excellent. Everything is customized to the buyers taste The drinks were interesting Overall this café depicts the feeling of this state with natural foods, interesting, decor, and customizing to taste I would come again

The Red Onion Sandwich is amazing. The flavors perfectly blend together and I love the crunch of the apple. Really great sandwich. Some of the reviews say that the staff are rude but that wasn’t my experience. It’s clear that they are busy. Honestly they can be rude to me all they want — as long as their sandwiches stay 100% - who cares!

The Red Onion is a truly unique experience, and one I always come back to when in VT! The owner and workers are always friendly and take their time with each and every customer to ensure the best service, and the food is amazing! My favorites are the Red Onion sandwich on honey oat bread and their snickerdoodles.

$32.50 for 2 turkey bacon sandwiches extra bacon on one. And this is what you get!!!! I didn’t ask for extra mayo!!!! I called for a refund or remake as these where not edible and get hung up on. What great customer service. None of the employees have manners, it’s like a problem to take your order or be polite. And the owner is no better I don’t see how she has made it to be honest. I don’t recommend!!!!
