A fine place to get some calories, but the waiter spilled coffee with no offer to help clean up, lost our order, found it and ended up making two , and we had to ask for other parts of our order to be completed, like needing maple syrup for French toast. Seems like they have a lot of work to do for staff communication. Food was expensive for what we got. Not worth a return.

Omg what a gem! I almost don't want to share about this place because it's so wonderful and I don't want it to become overpopulated. The food is wonderful, Meg the server is great and I'm just so impressed to find this level of barbeque just seconds away from my home!

The Guilty Plate Diner is a fantastic little gem! Our waitress, Violet, had an effervescent and delightful personality that added to our wonderful dining experience. She also had delicious meal recommendations.The kiddo savored the yummy mac and cheese, while the adults relished generous portions of BBQ chicken, ribs, and brisket. Let's not forget the mouthwatering mashed potatoes and gravy! Absolutely delicious!They provide a military discount with proper ID.

Fine diner with reasonable pricesFriendly folks and decently tasty food, but nothing too out of the ordinary.Maybe we didn't get the chance to try their best as our three top choices weren't available when we went, so we'll have to circle back around and see if we can try them to raise the bar a bit.Some general cleanliness notes, as clear dirty patches on the floor under the tables. I don't expect perfection in a local diner but running a broom and mop once a day would help a lot

They offer a classic & delicious diner food experience. I've been driving out of my way to visit this place for years. I especially love the irish benedict!

We did a breakfast there that was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious. No pictures because we gobbled it all down. I highly recommend the Brisket Benedict. If you want a sweet option the pancakes are all fresh blueberries and real maple syrup. We will definitely come again.

Amazing food and service. I got their Southern Bennys which were delicious. Service was quick considering they were very busy when I went on a Sunday morning. I highly recommend for breakfast or lunch if you are in Colchester.

Great local diner with good breakfast and low prices! We got a lot of food and spent about $10 each. The booths were comfy and the service was quick and kind. If you like a classic American breakfast (eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, potatoes) it's a great spot.
