The Lighthouse Restaurant and Lounge

The service was excellent, our server was bubbly and informative. Jillian was amazing! The food however.... if I could give no stars i would, as a chef myself I would be appalled to serve the food that was present to me. The clam chowder tasted as if it was from a can and discolored, the seafood Norfolk was soggy and the flavor was over seasoned, as was most of the food over seasoned and just plain awful. I ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium it came out raw as if barley cooked with a gelatinous Grey gravy on it... please whoever is cooking quit your day job .... worst food experience I've ever had

I walked in to a near empty restaurant only to be sat in a loud dining room that shares the bar. Fine and well, standard practice, but noisy as ever. Ordered soup and a smash burger. It took 45 minutes for the burger to hit the table (soup never made it). It was so incredibly awful from the quality of ingredients to the quality of the cook. I’ve never felt so compelled to write a review before. Bar tender was very kind.

Meant family there was seated but not waited on for ten + minutes, ordered our drinks,they were okay the beer could of been colder, the meal very small portions, the carpet was nasty and everything just looked NASTY, the Salad bar was 12 bucks more and of what I saw didn't look very appetizing, lettuce looked brownish everything was open not covered, won't ever go back, I expect it to be closing soon because the owners don't have much interest in making it a better restaurant

Delightful

Very friendly staff and delicious burgers! Only reason for four stars is that the wait was a bit long. Good cocktails too

I don’t understand all of the hate for the employees. Sure they get busy, maybe a bit under staffed like every other restaurant but don’t blame the employees, contact the owner. And if you didn’t make a reservation don’t complain about what tables are available at the exact time you arrive, feel free to wait like everyone else who doesn’t share your sense of entitlement. I had dinner here 3 times this week, the food was consistent, cooked as I ordered and timely. I would think any glaring deficiencies would present themselves in 3 visits in one week, and I would be happy to share them if that was the case. I’ll be back next week and I’ll be sure to let you know if the exact table I want is not available immediately upon my arrival and I will certainly raise hell if there is any water on my table. The fact there is a response to every negative review should tell you something.

Went for lunch and ended up ordering apps. My calamari was barely coated & like rubberbands it was so over cooked. Weak drinks. Super slow service. Out dated decor makes you feels like it's stuck in the 90's. Your staff were very nice.

Was here as part of a party of four. We were told a large party (10-15) had just placed their order and it would be an extra half hour wait.

We were there an hour and 15 minutes before we got our food. They brought the child's meal last. And not only was I not advised about my own hot plate, said plate was put down on my child's arm.
For which there was no apology until she pulled away and made a face.

Inexcusable.

Will not be back. Went for birthday lunch. They said I had to sit in bar at a high top table. I told them I had a bad hip and could not sit at a high top. Could we sit at the empty table we were looking at in front of us. She said no we would have to wait if we wanted a normal table. I said that would not work and myself and my family member went elsewhere. You obviously do not cater to the handicapped patrons. Terrible customer service. I will never return. We were so looking forward to your salad bar...

We had the lighthouse cater a two night event feeding over 200 each night and they absolutely knocked it out of the park the food could not have been any better and the presentation was perfect we where completed all evening about how good evening was. I highly recommend the team at lighthouse for your catering needs we will be using the lighthouse team again next year.

The best food ever 😋

I was leary with the 3.9 stars, the only reason i ate here was the salad bar and walking proximity to the hotel.

The salad bar was great and we'll stocked.

The boneless wings were three massive chicken fingers. The cheese fritters were unique.

Not sure why everything was served on wilty pre shredded lettuce that needed to be scraped off of everything prior to eating.

The service was slow and no one really seemed responsive or if they wanted to be there.

Extremely overpriced for the quality of food.
