The Lighthouse Restaurant and Lounge

We wanted to try someplace different for lunch. We were seated at a high top table that was covered in water; my husband used his napkin to mop it up and requested a new one—which never came. We waited 10 minutes just to order drinks and those were slow in coming. We waited an additional 20 minutes for an appetizer and 40 minutes for the main. My husband ordered the steak tips, well done. Some of his meat was raw, and some of his rice was uncooked. I requested bread with my soup and never received it. Never again.

Had an event at the Lighthouse last night. There was 19 of us at one table. Our waiter Kayden did an absolutely phenomenal job! He was pleasant, fast and right on top of everyone’s order. The food was delicious. It came out hot and everyone got exactly what they ordered.
Cannot heap enough praise on the service and the food for our event. Thank you Kayden.

Grant you, we were a table of 19 people, but it took 2 hours just to get our appetizer! 20 mins later my food arrived. I had the calamari and it was great! But...then I got my entree...The fish was overcooked! The fish was half the size of the swollen and over fried breading! I was so disappointed, I asked for my bill...When I received my bill, it had an automatic tip of 20% already added on! The whole time spent waiting for the meals, we had menus and hand fans to cool off the 83* inside temperature of the restaurant!!! No A/C...It was cooler outside then in! We didn't have to wait for a table as we had reservations...We also turned the music down as it was so loud we couldn't hear each other. I do have to say, our waiter was a very nice young man and very apologetic...

Drinks and apps on point. Mains to follow. Entrees were excellent!!!! Service great. Two thumbs up!

I came in a couple days ago, and my server lily was pretty awesome, and food was good

We arrived for our reservation a bit early (5.40), were seated and given water. The server had two other tables one was having dessert. She walked by us several times without so much as a nod or I will be right with you. The rest of the dining room was empty. After over twenty minutes of no service we left, no one noticed us leaving.

Food was okay. The service was fantastic.

Atmosphere is ok in appearance, but is extremely noisy. Don’t plan on conversing. We probably shouldn’t have ordered seafood because they don’t seem to be familiar with cooking it. Crab cakes were overcooked & overpowered by siracha aioli. Clam chowder billed as new england is most definitely not! It too had some kind of additional heat & oil added and enough thyme to supply an herb garden both of which overpowered any sweetness or flavor of clams. Fried calamari may have been okay except that they had salt added to them which ruined their typical flavor. They were also over cooked & rubbery as opposed to tender & sweet. Basically, this was not a welcome meal & certainly not worth the money we paid. Thankfully we at least had a salad which required no cooking.

We’ve been here many times in the past and never had an experience quite like the one we just had. We had a party of 4 and we got here at exactly 4:20PM and walked in and was told “we don’t open the dining room until 4:30PM you can either wait in the bar or wait in your vehicle”. A little odd to be closed from 4:00PM-4:30PM, but whatever. We waited in our vehicle and came back in at exactly 4:28PM because we noticed other people coming in. They were being seated in the dining room (I guess it was close enough to 4:30PM at this point). We get up to the check-in guy and he brings us to the bar side way in the back corner, which again was odd because we couldn’t figure out why not the dining room, but again it’s whatever. We were just happy to be seated. Our waitress brought menus took our drink orders and was pleasant enough. She brought back the drinks fairly quickly and took our order fairly quickly. It was 4:35PM at this point. Then we waited and waited and waited and WAITED. We were noticing every table that was showing up after us was being serviced their meals and we still didn’t have ours. Almost as if we were completely forgotten. It was 5:20PM at this point and we hadn’t seen our waitress and our food and we were starting to be late for a hockey game we were heading to. So we went to find our waitress and she was busy at the bar (?) so we found the gentleman who sat us and asked what was taking so long for our food and he told us “they had smaller orders and were smaller tables” and there’s was put in first. Mind you we had a table of 4 and there were 2 other tables of 4 that were 10 or more minutes after us that got their food before us. He said he would go check on it and miraculously not even 2 minutes later our food appeared. Not brought to us by our waitress but instead by the same guy who sat us. He said to us “just so you know is I checked and the order wasn’t put into the kitchen until 20 minutes ago.” It’s 5:30PM at this point. If that were the case then the waitress was holding onto our bill for 40 minutes or more. Didn’t make any sense at all. We told them we wanted to speak to manager and he said “we don’t have managers on”. So we just asked for our bill, finished our food as quickly as possible (we’re way late at this point) and we left. Mind you, we STILL never heard or saw our waitress the entire time after she put our order. The guy said that if we wanted to make a complaint to the owner that we can “message them on Facebook”. We told him we’ll do that and we will also be sure to leave reviews expressing our displeasure. Was an absolutely horrible experience and we will NEVER be back!

Have been here several times before and did have a good experience, however our last visit was terrible. Arrived at 4:30 and was sat immediately. The waitress took our drink order and then our food order immediately after. We then waited another 45 minutes, had two other tables that came in after us get their food and we were still waiting. We found someone since our waitress had never been back to the table to check on us and were given excuses. Our food was then brought out and were told that our ticket was put in 20 minutes prior. When we called them out about the 20 minute gap between us placing the order with the waitress and the ticket going in we were given more excuses, told that there were no managers or supervisors, and nothing could be done. Food is way overpriced for what you get, the salad bar is not included with those large entree prices and the service is terrible.
