I’m a big fan of this adorable eatery in Enosburg Falls on the way to Jay Peak Ski Resort. The food is great, the gift shop is more like a boutique than gift shop, and don’t get me started on how much my daughters and granddaughter love the old fashioned candy shop. Something for everyone and this local is willing to drive from one town away just to visit!
Bumblebee Bistro is hands down the best food I’ve had in the area. We first started going every Sunday morning for breakfast. The atmosphere is adorable, and the food is always fantastic. They’ve also been super accommodating with some of our more eccentric ordering habits, which we really appreciate. Lately we’ve started picking up dinner almost every Friday night too. It honestly feels like big-city food tucked right into Enosburg Falls.
The maple Brussels sprouts are ridiculous in the best way. The onion rings are huge and perfectly crisp. I’m completely hooked on the goat cheese balls. They’re amazing on their own but somehow even better with the goat cheese salad.
We’re mostly vegetarian, and there are always great options for us (I was cheating once a week with their bacon for the longest time). The mushroom melt is my ultimate comfort food. I don’t know how it manages to be that good every single time, but it does.
Dessert is always a win. They rotate the options, and everything we’ve tried has been solid. I’m super picky when it comes to cheesecake, and every type I’ve gotten has been perfect. The giant Maple Cinnabons are warm, gooey, and totally worth it.
I usually call in my order as I’m leaving work, and it’s ready by the time I walk in the door. They’ve never once made a mistake, which feels pretty rare these days. It’s one of those places that just gets it right, every single time.
It was my fourth time at the bistro. We went for a brunch expecting to pay $15 per person, but at the end we paid more than $70 for 2 brunch and 2 juices. They told us was a special price for father days because of ribs!! There was no clear signs or information about the price change, no notes on the menu or anything. $70 is a steal!!! The food was good, but there was nothing special to cost $70. With $70 I could had eat an amazing breakfast somewhere else.
Next time I hope they make their price change for “specials “ more visible.
Tried the brunch after attending the Vermont Dairy Festival in Enosburg Falls. Nice selection of breakfast and lunch items. Great little family owned and run shop, which is connected to the Barn Owl Country Store next door. The store had coffee, baked goods and an array of handcrafted items and more. Brought home the homemade Napolean pastery that was delicious!
Best place to eat in town, staff is friendly and food is amazing!! Ignore the gossip because they far exceed all other places in town which causes resentment but you can NEVER go wrong eating there and the barn owl is just as good, then you got the candy store with ALL of the treats your heart can desire not to mention their drinks, coffee's, Boba teas, milkshakes and smoothies. You just can't go wrong there and they are more reasonably priced than all the others in town as well. Definitely 10 stars 🌟
I was really looking forward to dining here, but it was a major letdown. The lobster roll turned out to be crawfish, which was confusing and disappointing. The chicken was overcooked and dry, making it hard to enjoy. To top it off, there was cilantro in my California roll bowl—definitely not what I was expecting! Overall, a very unsatisfactory dining experience. I won't be returning.
Leaves MUCH to be desired.... lobster roll...its crawfish. (Im from Maine and now live in south Alabama..trust me, its crawfish) Secondly, why is there cilantro in the Asian dish? The tenders are dry and the oil is clearly not changed enough to not leave the dark residue. Hard pass...
Edit: my son insisted I tell you that the buffalo chicken mac is good lol.
We arrived on 6/4, if you are looking for well seasoned, good healthy options, and things you want to write home about, look elsewhere. The poutine is salty enough to give even a health nut high blood pressure. The lobster roll is not even close to lobster, unless they are using teacup lobsters. Those are crawfish tails at best and imitation lobster at worst. For $22 you might as well get lobster mac and cheese at Shaws. The only saving grace is the gift shop attached. Do not waste your money. They need to either be honest about what they are serving, or they don't know any better and the cook is lying to the owners. Either way this place needs serious help. Don't let the good reviews fool you.

A real gem !!! Stopped in while traveling through New England from Kansas. What a treat! Every thing I ate had Love all over the plate. Cool old building at least 160 years old great interior and super friendly people. It’s a family business and you can feel their passion! If you’re in the area please give them a try. I was in the restaurant business over 25 years and can tell the real thing when I see it. This place is the real thing! And Chef Zoe is awesome!! Come see these ladies! Cheers.
