Perfect in every way. Amazing food at very fair prices. Bang for buck ratio was over the top. Place was clean and organized. You could see and feel the pride that was taken in the care of this joint. I am unfortunately a solid eight hour drive from this sandwich Mecca. I discovered it on a rambling road trip through Vermont. I was in Vermont for five days, this place and its food are my most shared memories. When I am hungry for an amazing sandwich this is the place I dream of. If you’re considering this place just go now.

The food here is delicious and the staff are friendly and professional. The collection of dried goods, wines, beers, ciders, jams, jellies and connections is wonderful and the overall atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing yourself one of their sandwiches or dessert if you are on the go and want a road friendly meal and a sweet treat or selecting from their case of prepared foods for something to take home for later.

My wife and I drove through for the Eclipse in April 2024. After lots of traffic going south I saw “Great Food To Go” on the sign. Immediately, knew this decision would alter the course of my reality. I’m from TX and CA. I’ve had great lobster rolls, but I knew, deep in my stomach, that my journey to Lobster Roll Flavortown USA would climax in New England. Safe to say the Heavens guided me here.
Gilfeather’s offers the highest of quality made-to-order food, alongside intently curated snacks and groceries. Got some chocolates, crystallized maple candies, and that GD Lobster Roll. Perfect.

Our experience was fine but have read other reviews that say owner is rude to BIPOC. He mostly made me feel rushed, like I needed to order quickly. Don’t expect a bargain here, but the food is definitely good. No place to eat inside. Two benches out front where you can eat while balancing your food on your lap and watching the traffic go by. Better yet, take it to go.

Great sandwiches, freshly made to order with premium ingredients. I had the pulled pork sandwich, it came with crisp coleslaw on top which complimented the pork beautifully. My wife had a Cubano and was very happy with her choice, finished lunch off with a pecan square that was amazing. I recommend stopping by for a quick bite, you won't be disappointed!
