This restaurant is located on the Basin Harbor Resort in Vegennes VT. where the 2025 Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Nationals were held. Our waiter was Jon from Iowa, and he was very friendly and knew the menu. I had a 12oz New York Strip Steak with mashed potatoes and sauted mushrooms. It was very delicious. I was with an 11 person group from our dog show, and the service was fast and timely. The restaurant was in a remodeled saw mill and had numerous antiques.

Had a turkey club and a couple of beers. Sat at the bar. Great casual atmosphere. Bartender was attentive, and kind. Turkey Club hit the spot.

We order a bloody Mary each and the mix was so terrible, we each had a salad mine was a chicken ceasir I never ate the salad tasted like vinegar and the croutons were stale, we waited an hr and our drinks came with our meal and the waiter never asked us a thing we literally were ignored , 150 dollars later no thank you

It was a little dark at first but it was a good experience. No Heineken but l got a huge lobster roll!

Really disappointed in 2024 season food, went a lot the last few years and only went once this year. Menu didn’t change and food was not as good this year. Must’ve had a change in the kitchen, I am a local who used to love coming here.

my mom and my sister and my 16 month old went here for lunch and what a mistake that was! we ordered 3 drinks that never came until our meals came out, our bloody mary’s were so overloaded with spices we choked them down because they are 16 dollars a drink, for a BLT 2 salads and a grilled cheese our bill was 150 dollars we sat there for 2 hours because our waiter ignored us! TERRIBLE service and highly expensive for mediocre food do not recommend

Special place with young children outside dining..

A lovely atmosphere! We had the cheese steak sandwich and the iceberg wedge, as well as the onion rings and apple crisp. All were delicious and affordable! Huzzah!

We had a great time at the Red Mill with our (mostly well behaved) kids. We sat at a high top - watched a football game and enjoyed the food. Service and other patrons were quite friendly. Will come back.

We love the Red Mill Restaurant!! Food is excellent, reasonably priced, bartender, waitstaff and manager are so very friendly and kind making for a very favorable dining experience- we really enjoyed our dinner both on Friday and again Sunday evening this past weekend.

Basin Harbor is a beautiful spot to spend an evening! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The meal felt a bit rushed. We'd barely started our cocktails when the salads arrived. Main dishes arrived before we'd eaten a third of our salads. We were planning on a leisurely dinner, but I think we were out of there in under an hour. Overall the food was very good. The kale salad is heavy on the kale and needs more dressing - which our server suggested without my asking. The only real disappointment was the chimichurri steak sauce. Very bland. I only tasted parsley and oil.
