Red Mill Restaurant

Although the staff were all kind and friendly, the time spent waiting to get a server to come over was excessive. We waited more than 15 minutes. My husband and I both ordered soup to begin with and it took a very long time to get that, as well. The fish and chips consisted of two pieces that were not very large, and the “chips” were 3 potato slices. The price was $25 and that was way out of line. The cheddar ale soup was tasty and the Caesar salad was good, also. I'm my opinion, there were not many choices.

We've been boating to the Red Mill Restaurant for many seasons and have always enjoyed the experience. While the staff remains friendly and the food quality generally good, we've noticed the menu has continued to shrink over time. This season, it's become especially limited and, unfortunately, quite disappointing—with no specials offered during our visit. We sincerely hope to see more variety and exciting options return to the menu in the near future.

What a great place to dine as the summer season begins. The rustic nature of the restaurant makes it relaxing and casual. The service was great and friendly. Very attentive to our needs. The adult beverages were done well. The food was delicious and portions were the correct amounts. We celebrated a birthday and they were generous by offering the birthday boy a free dessert!

This restaurant is located on the Basin Harbor Resort in Vegennes VT. where the 2025 Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Nationals were held. Our waiter was Jon from Iowa, and he was very friendly and knew the menu. I had a 12oz New York Strip Steak with mashed potatoes and sauted mushrooms. It was very delicious. I was with an 11 person group from our dog show, and the service was fast and timely. The restaurant was in a remodeled saw mill and had numerous antiques.

Had a turkey club and a couple of beers. Sat at the bar. Great casual atmosphere. Bartender was attentive, and kind. Turkey Club hit the spot.

We order a bloody Mary each and the mix was so terrible, we each had a salad mine was a chicken ceasir I never ate the salad tasted like vinegar and the croutons were stale, we waited an hr and our drinks came with our meal and the waiter never asked us a thing we literally were ignored , 150 dollars later no thank you

It was a little dark at first but it was a good experience. No Heineken but l got a huge lobster roll!

Really disappointed in 2024 season food, went a lot the last few years and only went once this year. Menu didn’t change and food was not as good this year. Must’ve had a change in the kitchen, I am a local who used to love coming here.

my mom and my sister and my 16 month old went here for lunch and what a mistake that was! we ordered 3 drinks that never came until our meals came out, our bloody mary’s were so overloaded with spices we choked them down because they are 16 dollars a drink, for a BLT 2 salads and a grilled cheese our bill was 150 dollars we sat there for 2 hours because our waiter ignored us! TERRIBLE service and highly expensive for mediocre food do not recommend

Potatoes were cool and wrong salad was delivered. Cocktail came with main course. Too noisy. If not the only place openon Monday i would not go.

Special place with young children outside dining..

A lovely atmosphere! We had the cheese steak sandwich and the iceberg wedge, as well as the onion rings and apple crisp. All were delicious and affordable! Huzzah!
