I only just heard about this vineyard this past weekend. We have several other larger vineyards here in northeastern Vermont, but I have to say I just love this smaller vineyard. Located in picturesque Franklin, VT, it is nestled away from the main road with Lake Carmi out in the distance. We were greeted right away by the owner. The owner's mother assisted us with the taste testing. She was very welcoming. I loved all the wines. I ended up purchasing the Red Sundress and Silver Lake. I was most impressed that they only use their own grapes. Truly a Vermont product. It was so beautiful out yesterday that we were able to sit outside. We stayed for a couple of hours. It is a beautiful ride just getting there, go check out this boutique vineyard.
What a beautiful hidden gem! This family owned vineyard is the best kept secret in Franklin.! I tasted four of their five wines and all four left me wanting to take home a bottle, which we did! this was after sitting on their rustic wood deck, enjoying the fall colors, laughing and catching up with each other while enjoying a couple of bottles! Was difficult to pick my favorite! A beautiful setting overlooking rolling hills and Vermont scenery. This little vineyard uses only their own grapes. It's a lovely drive and
a beautiful setting to visit on a Sunday afternoon and enjoy a bottle or two of heaven !
Great winery!
Very good wine and the owner is great
I liked their wines. I wanted to purchase a full case. However I left without buying any wine because of my experience and the way I was treated there. Since I was coming from a bit of a distance I called ahead to make sure they were open. I was told yes, but I might have to sit inside since there was an event on the porch. No problem, it was clean and sanitary, so I left. When I arrived, I approached the entry door and noticed the porch was full and all were wearing masks. I went inside, sat at a table, wiped it down, noticing my wipe was black. So much for sanitation. After quite a while the owner/vintner if I was there for a tasting. Yes of course. After a while he sent his mother over to serve me, a nice woman, but unmasked, a clear violation of the VT mask mandate.I should have said something, but didn't.After tasting the wines, I was prepared to make a purchase and leave. Each time I tried to conclude the transaction and leave, the owner abandoned me to take care of other folks.Being a patient person, I waited; however the final straw came when someone who was part of a young noisy group tapped him on the shoulder while I was talking to him and about to pay for my wines. Without any apologies, the owner abandoned me, so I gathered my belongings together and left without buying anything. As I am about to drive away, the owner runs outside, raps on my window and asks what's wrong. I felt very disrespected and ignored for being patient, quiet and polite. Unbelievable that he should have to ask!
Love Red sundress wine ! It’s my favorite!
