We really loved the Grafton inn. The servers at meals were incredibly wonderful. (Front desk, weren’t particularly friendly, though) Our room was spacious and really charming. I loved the decor, antiques, artwork. Wide plank floor boards were lovely. My biggest complaint was the coffee. It was the most watery, tasteless coffee I’ve ever had. It’s brewed so weak. The color is almost pale amber. A good cup of coffee is such an important way to start the day-so much room for improvement there. The location is just darling. The cocktails were truly wonderful! The food was inconsistent and mediocre. Burgers seemed like frozen patties, dense and not tender-the burger rolls were dry. My fish and chips were slightly undercooked. I saw someone get theirs delivered to their table and they were a lovely golden brown. Mine were pale gold-and the batter was a bit undercooked and doughy. The last evening I ordered the short rib with cheddar risotto. I got a mere tbsp of risotto with my piece of meat. I asked the waitress; where’s the risotto? She said it’s under the meat. I lifted up meat-no risotto. She said I’ll go get you more. She brought me back a completely different item. A Greek vegetable risotto… I ordered a his dish, specifically for the cheddar risotto.. were in VT, we want cheddar! The innkeeper was gracious enough to give us a refund if our resort fees to compensate for our experience; which I thought was lovely to do. I’d return, but would love to see stronger coffee, and better executed meals.

Wonderful old colonial Inn, within such a beautiful village - the whole visit felt so luxurious! We did not want to leave. The suite came with a lovely spa bath, and the largest, and most comfortable, bed I have ever slept in outside my own home. Plus staff were so lovely and friendly. A truly memorable experience.

We had the best time! This hotel was one of our favorites as we toured fall foliage. From the unique rooms to the friendly staff and delicious meals we were beyond impressed. It was quiet and cozy - the perfect way to spend our last days in Vermont. We can't stop talking about it and will be back!

Such a beautiful place, in what is the quintessential Vermont village. We had a fantastic meal and drinks for our wedding anniversary. Service was outstanding; kudos to Hannah, our waitress. Special place; we'll be back! Only feedback would be that the portions are a bit small; we probably would have gotten an appetizer if known. Otherwise, terrific place.

The Grafton is picture perfect, it is kind of like living in a museum. The town is dominated by restored 200 yr old buildings. We loved borrowing mountain bikes for the ski trails and playing pool and ping pong in the evenings. The town library was a gem! It was beautiful exploring the small community and we spent a lot of time hanging out by the river finding tiny toads and newts and turtles and tadpoles. There isn't great cell coverage in town and the food was fine but not amazing, but there was gas. The people were amazing and the roads into town were picturesque.

We got married at the Grafton Inn on June 29, 2024, and we could not speak more highly of this experience! Olivia, Roma, and Angela made our weekend of activities with friends and family, and most importantly our special day, feel seamless and incredible. We are still getting messages from our friends and family about how much they loved the venue, accommodations, and every staff member they interacted with. We were so appreciative of the Grafton Inn team working with us to make our wedding weekend so special and individualized. The food for the various events leading up to the reception, and at the reception itself, was also outstanding!
We look forward to revisiting Grafton and staying at the Inn to celebrate our marriage over the years. Many of our friends also said they would be joining us, that's how much they loved this place and this area, so maybe we will be doing regular anniversary friends and family retreats a the Grafton Inn in the future! Thank you all again!

Dreaming of when I can get back here! Beautiful, comfortable rooms. The main Inn is also very lovely and relaxing to spend time in the lobby. Fantastic food on premises. I ate more Grafton Village Cheese than I would like to admit while staying here.
