We just returned from a Murder Mystery weekend at the Grafton Imn. Everything , from the first dinner in the Phelps Barn to the final Sunday morning breakfast were excellent. The accomodations and the Inn's staff were top notch. The murder mystery was a lot I fun and veryone there was extremely friendly and helpful. The additional 16 inches of snow added to the ambience of the Inn and the town. We were especially impressed by the staff and would like to reiterate our thanks for them making this a most memorable weekend.Rooms: Our room was quite comfortable and the hot shower had great water pressure.

Had a great murder mystery weekend March 22- 24. Food, service, location , comfort were all superb. I hope they do this in the future. I would recommend the inn for all occasions my son is getting married there in Nov 24. . We had a delightful surprise weekend away for my husband’s 70th birthday and just returned home. There were nine of so we stayed in a house, which was perfect. Meals at the Phelps barn and in the dining room were delicious and breakfasts were hearty and yummy. What made it really over the top were all the people who work at the inn: every server was pleasant and friendly and went over and above to wish my husband a happy birthday. The inn is truly lovely, and the people make it stellar!Thank you for a great weekend!Rooms: Clean, lovely decor and colorsNearby activities: Trails, shops, Nature Museum were great.Safety: Small town living!Walkability: Everything is within walking distance and Grafton is just beautiful!Food & drinks: Delicious!

The Grafton Inn was the perfect place for a solo getaway. I did some cross country skiing after checking in, had a delicious dinner at the bar, and went for a walk around the village to see the moon, stars, and all the houses lit up with candles. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was large and modern for an inn. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and then I did a winter hike back at their activity center. I felt safe and cozy the whole time and I love that I didn't have to find outside places for dinner and breakfast. I'll be back soon! Thank you for this much needed winter retreat!

Our 2019 wedding is still spoken of fondly by our family and friends. Some of which have returned just to enjoy a getaway in this beautiful Vermont town.We have of course returned as well, and this is perhaps one of the best reasons to choose the Grafton Inn for your wedding. You can return year after year making new memories as your family grows. We were delighted with our 2 night “Stay and Play” midweek stay in February. Parking was easy, 2 beautiful fireplaces were crackling in the Main Inn front rooms warming us as we entered to check-into our room. The innkeepers and staff were extremely helpful.We totally enjoys the well groomed trails at the Trail Center for cross-country, snow shoeing and fat tire biking.Dinner in the Phelps Barn was excellent- perfectly cooked, and delivered pipping hot to our table. (Both the Fish and Chips and Lamb Shank w/ Creamy Risotto were delicious).Afternoon tea/coffee and cookies were excellent.Only suggestions would be the mattress was very soft, and itneeds updating. However, the bathroom was very clean and recently updated. The game with pool table could also be refreshed, maybe closed up all winter, and had a displeasing musty smell.

You can't go wrong with a meal at the Grafton Inn. My husband had the lamb and it was so tender he could cut it with his fork. I had the filet and they were kind enough to substitute the vegetable to my preference. The filet was cooked absolutely perfectly! Both my husband and I cleaned our plates. Lisa was our server for this meal and she is always so kind and helpful ❤️ A delicious anniversary meal ❤️

Food is always so good at Phelps Barn. We love the brussels sprouts appetizer and the mushroom appetizer. Fish and Chips and beef stew were excellent and the quantities were more than enough. We heard Don Dawson on the guitar and even danced a bit. Just a terrific evening

Phelps barn is my favorite restaurant near where I live. It's our go to place to celebrate. The ambiance is really as important to me as the food. You just feel so happy and comfortable there with the live music and fireplace especially on a cold winter's night. The meals are delicious! The service is excellent. It's expensive but it's worth it.

It was so nice to share a delicious dinner at the Phelps Barn with dear friends. Grafton was covered in a light dusting of snow, which set the tone for a delightful winter evening . We were greeted at the door with smiles of welcome, taken promptly to our table on the upper level which happened to be by the fire place. Such an inviting and cozy feel, great for visiting. Janice took wonderful care of us, we never felt rushed, yet she knew when to check in. The food was not only delicious, but pleasing to the eye as well. We enjoyed the live entertainment, and found ourselves singing along softy at times. We look forward to a return visit soon.
