It was very cold where we were seated With both doors constantly being opened Food was delicious.
This was a special place for a Christmas Eve celebration w friends. Phelps barn ambiance is lovely, the post and beam environment and small barn windows just added to it. We all enjoyed our meals and cocktails. Our server was polite and unobtrusive. You couldn't ask for a nicer evening, including the recent fresh blanket of snow to celebrate Christmas at Phelps Barn.
Very appealing setting in barn annex of historic country inn. Food and drinks were delicious, and service was very good. Inn has an attractive dining area that is open only a couple days a week that we look forward to trying as well. Definitely among the very best restaurants in the area. We will definitely go back!
Disappointed that the Burger & Brew menu keeps shrinking & does not offer a vegetarian or pescatarian option.
Sat by the fireplace in the barn, the food was exceptional and the music was perfect along with the level of sound. Able to hear each other talk. All around great evening, will be back.
It was friendly and prompt service, and an excellent selection at reasonable prices . A lovely meal!
One of the best secrets in Vermont! Located in a small town of Grafton, this restaurant has phenomenal atmosphere, excellent food, and fantastic service! If you're in southern Vermont and is a must for dining!
We were seated in the main dining room (1801 Tavern Room) which is filled with historic charm. It is elegant, yet cozy and welcoming. The tables are spaced far enough apart that noise is not a problem or distraction. We split a Caesar Salad, which was delicious. I enjoyed a glass of Oregon Pinot Noir and ordered the pineapple glazed tuna special that came with black rice. I substituted maple glazed carrots for the leeks due to digestive concerns. My husband had the chicken coq a vin with wild mushrooms, bacon, onions, and spinach with rosemary mashed potatoes. For dessert we split an apple streusel pie with whipped cream and caramel sauce. It was a lovely, romantic dinner with excellent service from Lisa, and comforting, well prepared entrées.
AMAZING menu items to choose from and top notch service! We ate here both nights we stayed in Grafton and enjoyed our meals so much!
Had a wonderful overnight stay in Grafton at the Grafton Inn and dinner. Lovely antiques everywhere and a very relaxing stay. Food was excellent.

Great local spot. Food is xonsistently good. Got the pasta primavera this time. Was different w a spicy tomato sauce, and i very much enjoyed it. Service was friendly and timely. Decent selection of beers, both local and nonlocal. Would def recommend this spot
Whenever I come up to Grafton, I always have to make a stop here for a meal and some live music and every time I do it's a great experience. The music and the food are always top notch!
Our server, Maggie, was friendly and fun. Food was great and the music was perfect for eating with a group of five. We could talk or listen. Our grandson liked the musician so much that he tipped him $5.
Truly an outstanding restaurant for a special meal!! Every single entree from appetizer to entrees to dessert was superb. Service was perfect! Highly recommend!
Not the best dining experience. The special was a chicken and chorizo mix. The chicken was all dark meat and in my opinion that should have been mentioned
