I’ve been a regular at Positive pie sense I was in high school, and unfortunately sense the new owners have taken over the restaurant has gone downhill so fast. I went with two friends, we waited over 45 for waters and menus, and once we ordered drinks we waited another 45 minutes to get them and be able to order food. While this was annoying, we moved on as we understand sometimes things happening. The following weekend we tried again, and tried sitting and the bar. We order drinks and presented our ids, ( we were not carded the weekend prior) and the bartender (who served us the weekend before) was instantly extremely rude to us all stating she would not serve us alcohol sense one of us had a vertical ID. She claimed people often use fake ids so they have a new rule. She refused to even scan the completely valid ID. We left and will not be returning. Seems like they really just have no clue what they are doing. It would not have been an issue, if she hadn’t served us the weekend prior. Ricky is the only good staff never they have left. Sad to see such a great place go downhill so fast.

Every time I visit Vermont i have to stop in to have a meal here. The staff is amazing especially Ricky, who is always so happy and full of Cheer. The food is amazing and always has so much flavor to it. Keep up the great work guys and i will be back soon for more.

We wondered why it was so empty on a Saturday night and we found out why. We were pleasantly greeted as always with Ricky!!! Then it took a turn for the worse; we had a new server who needs much training (miss Lindsey too!). Our appetizers took a long time coming and the server did not return to let us know what was going on or if we needed anything. When the soup finally arrived they said “ thank you for your patience we only have one person in the kitchen.” Mind you it is an open kitchen. Pizza finally arrived close to one hour later; not the the same quality we have experienced through the years. Sadly we will likely not return. Other concerns were noticed as well.

I especially liked the thin crust. It was baked just right - just enough so the bottom was a little crispy, but the rest was not overdone.
On a drive we decided to stop in for a slice and a pint. Hardly anyone in the place. One bartender who acknowledged us and said she/he had to do some things and then proceeded to make 8-10 cocktails right in front of us. We tried to be patient but 25 minutes later the bartender still had not made a single attempt to take our order. The slices are in a warmer already prepared. It would have taken 2 minutes to pull a couple of slices, poor two beers, and then resume with the other orders. Absolutely an amateur at service bordering on straight up rude. We finally just got up and left.

New owners ruined everything nice about this place! They took out a perfectly good brick oven and replaced it with a conveyer belt. The new staff isn’t half of what they shoved out the door on their way in. Tourists only! Locals encouraged to go somewhere else.

We went out for my Birthday dinner and I was very disappointed. There was only one waiter and we had to wait a long time to be served as well as for our food. The pizza was lukewarm and not very tasty. It seems like Positive Pie has gone downhill with the new ownership.

Disappointed in most recent visit. Cheese steak didn't have enough meat to even cover the roll. Paid extra for mushrooms. There were two. Poutine with pulled pork was gross. Fries were a soggy mess. Waiter was exceptional. Only reason for two stars. Update 10/2/25 Last try at this place. Roll on my sandwich was stale. Salad was lettuce with nothing else. Couldn't get waitress to refill my drink while I had food. Disappointed yet again. This place has been declining for some time. Don't waste your money.
