While visiting Hardwick, we had breakfast at the Village restaurant. We had the skillet / eggs & toast meals. We also took pancakes to our grandchildren. They didn't last long. Everything was delicious. I also noticed a good selection of gluten-free options!People were amazing and gave the lovely hometown feel. 😍

Eating here has basically become a morning tradition as I drive to work. Lynn, my server, is absolutely lovely. I’ve never had a place where my name and order were known, and it feels really good to walk in and have a friendly conversation over coffee that’s been poured as I walk up to the counter. There’s nothing like good diner food, and theirs doesn’t disappoint!!
Vegetarian options: I personally ordered the eggs, home fries, and sourdough toast.
Parking: There is a parking lot next to the building and also street parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp from the parking lot that goes up hill a little bit and then also into the building.

Terrible for such a local legion! After sitting for over 30 minutes after ordering our 20 year old male server forgot to deliver our soup — so the kitchen had to reheat. The Corn Chowder was thicker than Elmers Glue. The Veggie Omelette was 1/2 full of greasy veggies. But wait — the whole wheat toast was excellent. Nice setting; clearly a local’s favorite. Maybe we got a bad day.

Been wanting to try this place for a long time, as I grew up in the area. I thought it was a cute little place with reasonable prices, and service was great. But the food was very disappointing. Nothing seemed to be fresh or homemade, not even the pancake mix and the gravy was canned. I ordered a sandwich to go and it came out with black burnt bread.
Great diner with lots of different meals on their menu. We had a chicken sandwich and Haddock sandwich both with fresh cut fries and on homemade looking bread. Delicious lunch for two for twenty plus tip!

Being from South Carolina, eating there reminded me of eating at a small diner owned and mostly operated by a family. It really reminded me of home. Especially the biscuits and sausage gravy, delicious.
